I think there was a tour on velocity channel at one point. You might do a search on youtube or the net. Looked damn impressive and worth the visit!

They had one, missing a side mirror and not well maintained, not sure if it was actual a magnum car.

The Nethercutt guys have a Ferrari California too and YES! in the Petersen there is the Magnum car. Also I saw a 365 engine. I don't have pictures of the Vault because they don't allow to use the camera.
Both are very cool places to visit.

If you are a member, Petersen has a gala one night every year, where you can tour the vault. Otherwise, they rotate their cars on display. Attached is a photo from the museum that I did not take, but shows their 2v GTSi. Last time I was there, the only Ferrari on display in their "Hollywood" cars exhibit was a Daytona they said was the car driven by Raoul Julia in "Gumball."

Who knows if this is an actual car from the show or just a representative 308, but the "Gumball" car was burgundy metallic and had Euro headlights, so take that for what it's worth...

A self-correction. According to the Internet photo I just posted, the Daytona apparently is red with painted light covers, and NOT burgundy, as I recalled, so maybe it IS the actual car from the film, and so too is the 308. At any rate, I think the takeaway here is, visit the Petersen.

yes a great auto museum. a few years ago they had a supercars exhibit and had an F40 and F50 next to each other. I think I must have made the security guard nervous i stood there staring for so long.

The Petersen Auto museum is wonderful. The vault used to be open one night a year for members, then was open year-round for a fee. The museum will be closing shortly for a full reskinning of the building's exterior. Not sure how many Ferraris there are there currently, but to my recollection they had a couple in the vault when I went down a couple years ago. Another of the several Magnum 308s they apparently used in the TV series is on the Universal Studios lot in North Hollywood.

Seen the vault - they offered it last summer for an additional fee. Yes some great stuff. All a blur by now but always cool to see a Tucker and a Scaglietti Corvette amongst the other cars lost in my memory.
