Meh. Not my favorite of his.

I've been in his galleries in La Jolla and in Las Vegas... I favorites are his 'tree of life' and the tall grand canyon one. Would love to have one in the future.

    Here's The Scoop

His camera of choice is the very highly-regarded Linhof Technorama 617s III, with the 90mm f/5.6 Super Angulon XL lens for $9,539. Buy the 180mm f/5.6 Apo Symmar lens for $3,789 as well as the 72mm f/5.6 for $4,849. Add the 180mm optical viewfinder for $899. The center spot filter for the 90mm f/5.6 Super Angulon lens is $829 and corrects the substantial light fall-off the lens has. Add the 72mm's optical viewfinder at $905. That makes $19,981 in the camera body and three lenses. If you want the Schneider 110mm Super Angulon lens and finder, add $5,945 for a $25,826 basic kit for the 617 Panoramic camera.
Add $500 for a good tripod and $350 for a rock-solid tripod head and $10,000 worth of film and processing per year.

So, with a basic $37,000 outfit of film,wide-format film camera, and some of the absolute best lenses money can buy,all a guy needs to do is to fly, drive, and hike to some of the world's most scenic spots and shoot early and late in the day,and spend 25 years doing the same thing as often as possible.

Have several of his pictures and they are amazing! Our favorite that we own is Beyond Paradise! After our 5th purchase, they gave us the Big Book as a gift. This thing is incredible! I never would have purchased it for $2500 which is what I think they were selling for, but this book weighs about 60 pounds and is chock full of some amazing eye candy! If you are ever in an area where he has a gallery, GO TO IT!

I also own a several pieces of his however have become a little disappointed that he now releases a new picture or new series on what seems like a weekly basis.
