Whilst currently working towards my own fcar ownership, I had the pleasure of meeting one of Perth's top Ferrari mechanics recently. Those local will know there are very few credible Ferrari independents in Perth. Jolan Hollis up until recently head mechanic at Barbagallo Ferrari has recently opened his own independent workshop Tutti Motori http://www.ferrariserviceperth.com.au/ in Wangara specialising in Ferrari and other euro exotics (Lamborghini, Maserati, Lotus). Jolan has over 10 years Ferrari factory training experience including top 5 finishes in the world-wide Ferrari Technician Challenge in 2008 & 2009. Owners I know have also referenced Jolan's standout knowledge and attention to detail whilst at Barbagallo. Jolan knows his stuff and is a great guy to boot! For those looking for personalised, expert services minus the main dealer premium do yourself a favour and check him out. I have no association with this business, only my experience. Fronin - Perth, Australia.
Fair question. My comments are based on: - spending 90 mins at his workshop, quizing him on all things ferrari servicing to establish if I'd be comfortable using him as my own mechanic when the time comes. Jolan was very generous with his time, was cordial to deal with and knows his stuff (see next) - based on my 2.5 years of detailed knowledge from reading this forum nearly every day I know what constitutes a quality ferrari mechanic - feedback I've received from owners I personally know who have used his services whilst he was at Barbagallo. Reputation sticks. F.
Got it. Good on ya. I read your other posts. I wouldn't wait to pull the trigger, btw....but I'm impulsive.
oh come on, he's learnt at least to NOT do it himself !! That must count for something How's the peppermint Patty car going ??
I'm in your neck of the woods this weekend, I'll try and catch up but you know what it's like with all the family in Sydney
Joland is good and a very nice guy. I've known him from his very first day at Barbagallo when he started working under Francois Lusser. You've got 3 in Perth - Joland, Francois in O'Connor and Colin Roper in Wangarra.
It is great to have another local contact - I will keep this in mind. Does anyone know the company name / website for "Colin Roper in Wangara"? Cheers, Gary.
Hey just spoke with this guy at the weekend and I'm going to give him a go when my car is due it's service in a few months. Had trouble getting him off the phone he was that helpfull. I am really only average workin class bloke on 50k a year and this guy said he would work with me however possible to keep car right and keep costs reasonable so will keep you lot informed on how it goes. I did use someone else in jan this year not happy with overall service I got when I had to fix seized handbrake when I got it home which he never picked up on.
Hi all, my first post as a first time Ferrari owner. Bought a 308 GTS QV in good nic. I saw on the web that there is a place not far from me called Auto Italia in Morley who say they do work on Ferraris. anyone had experience with them? I'll need my belts changed at some point.
No experience with them... I do have a lot of experience with Jolan though and think it would be worth the trip to Wangara to a known good mechanic.
FWIW For the last 15 years I have used Simon Lingford Has been at his new business since Christmas Future Auto Services 75 Excellence Drive 6065 Wangara Outstanding automotive engineer that produces a "no issues" result.
