Perfect 20/21 inch setup IMO I hated the look of the stretched tire on most 21" rear wheels. The rear tire side wall bulge was always thinner than the front tires Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Love the deep dish look…really nice. What tires did you go with? Did you get the driver side wheels swapped out?
I'm sorry and I'm not trying to be mean but pics are posted to get opinions, right? good or bad. ... my opinion is I just don't get it. They look awful and I don't understand why people do this to Ferraris. People mention '4 wheel drive' all the time when referencing stock suspension and tires on Ferraris but what you did here is 4 wheel drive to me... the rears especially look like they're part of the rear quarter, just a different color. Looks non functional like the tire wont even spin. They're stuffed in there and stick out beyond the body panels. Sorry Marty
Yo, no hard feelings, but them pics be fo opinions, right? Good or bad. My take? Man, I just don’t vibe with it. They look trash can't wrap my head around why folks be messin’ with Ferraris like this. Urbody babblin' 'bout 4 wheel drive when talkin' stock parts, but what you did here screams white trash.. them back tires look like they'part o' da whip just a wonky shade. Looks like it don’t even work, rims ain't gonna spin. They crammed in there, stickin' out like like ye ye! Sorry, Marty
perfect. You translated it into hood rat for Eric. I can only assume a thug like Pdiddy owns that F8. It's got twice pipes and fuzzy dice in the mirror too
What brand of tires? Pirelli P zero, Michelin PS4 ??? thnx I like the more rounded sidewall over tires that have the sharp built in curb protector in the sidewall. You're sidewalls in your pic looks rounded.... nice.
I like what @Marty305 did.... stock wheel design is nice and all to its own for the F8 but the height adjustment, wheel sizes, deeper dish look and offset look better than as delivered from the factory. It is very interesting that Ferrari themselves portray how the F8 looks more to what Marty has done to his car. This photo is straight from the Ferrari.com website for the F8 Tributo. Makes sense to me. Image Unavailable, Please Login
That picture was the inspiration to get these wheels made Pirelli P Zero is the tire on the back. Yes they don't have a rim protector like the Michelins so the side wall looks more rounded to match the front P zeros. Rear are 21x11 which helps to get the rounded look on the sidewall since the rim is not too wide.
Love the dish.... I had my HRE P107 done a little deeper dish that I just sold. Not sure what I am going to do or not do on my F8 yet.
Is there a ride quality difference from either going 20/21 wheel setup vs 21/22 setup? I see most websites that sell aftermarket wheels for the F8 go 21/22? Other than less rubber on the ground any performance differences?
Yes. My car drove much better on 21/20 setup than my current 22/21 setup. Rougher ride and more unsprung weight.
EVERYONE, going with a larger rear wheel.... BE VERY CAREFUL about keeping OVERALL diameter difference between front and rear in check ( close or at oem/stock specs). If you do not do this, under hard acceleration or braking or cornering the traction control and ABS will not work properly and the ECU will see tires not spinning at the ECU calculated revolutions that stock/oem and the ECU will think the car is in a slide or losing traction. This can be a very dangerous situation. .4" front to rear overall diameter is stock and what the ECU expects. You can deviate .1 to .2" front to rear overall diameter difference...... this just a few % and be OK. Also larger rear overall diameter changes gear ratio as well and effects acceleration and shifting. STOCK/OEM is 245-35-20 26.8" overall diameter 305-35-20 27.2" over all diameter Keeping a stock oem front size and going with a 21" 30 series rear puts the front to rear overall diameter out of wack. EXAMPLE: stock 245-35-20 front is 26.8" 21" rear 30 series 315-30-21 is 28.5" This is a rear OVERALL DIAMETER INCREASE of 1.7" more than stock OEM.....NOT GOOD- DANGEROUS CORRECT 21" REAR SIZE should be 325/25/21 because it is 27.4" OVERALL DIAMETER. .2" bigger than OEM/Stock 20"
I keep it simple. I do stock and then I don't get all of this unwanted brain damage. Good PSA for those who do though.
stock 245-35-20 front is 26.8" 21" rear 30 series 315-30-21 is 28.5" This is all on paper but I have had no issues with my set up. Less than 5% is fine. As the rears wear down the percentage difference will drop too. Hard acceleration, rolling to the throttle, down shift etc etc.
