Just starting to learn/research these weapons. Not finding much in stock out there... Anyone have something they want to sell? (not SBR as I don't want to deal with tax stamp) I'm open to almost anything and price range given that I'm just starting to look at this segment. Thanks.
Actually I was being lazy and just abbreviated the generic "pistol caliber carbine". I am open to any "pcc" in 9mm. (there seem to be dozens, if not hundreds to choose out there - at least theoretically given the low stocks at the moment)
I have to say, doing some reading, I'm starting to think it might be better to get an SBR and go thru the tax stamp process... I think I'll do both - buy a pistol now with a brace and also get a SBR started with the tax stamp.
Just picked up a CZ scorpion Evo 3 S1 Installed the collapsible pdw brace with a binary trigger on order. Awesome set up and way cheaper than Sig, HK, ect. Prices are a little higher now than a few months ago, but fairly easy to find yet. Plus 32 round mags are under $20 ea.
You can always build one. I just did and it came out great. I'm in NY so it's ugly but still pretty cool.
One question: would you think about a pistol (with arm brace) vs a SBR. It will save you a tax stamp, and you can get a pistol brace that can be "shouldered". Also: if you're looking for something interesting in that world: what about a .300 Blackout pisto/SBR. It's designed for optimal performance in a 9" barrel, but there are many shorter barreled options. As a cartridge, it was designed as a replacement for 9mm.
Oh yes you're right cowboy, It's scarce in the stock because of the qualities it pocess you've come to the right place,I can't send you a direct message I've got one for sale contact me through my Mail [email protected] Sent from my Nokia 2.1 using Tapatalk
I don't personally have one of the Scorpions. But in my research, it is probably THE PCC to get. Particularly given its price advantage relative to the Sig MPX. Take a look on Gunbroker.com. You can find several new ones for sale. Kevin
Yes, in fact that's what I wrote in the first post in the thread. (I could have been more clear that the whole goal here is to get a shorter weapon - so that I can run suppressed and not have a long gun overall. So after PCC in either SBR or pistol/brace - and likely to get both in the end. But not a 16" or greater PCC rifle - unless its merely as a starting point to modify and get a tax stamp as into an SBR) I did give some thought to 300 Blackout. But in the end decided against it because glock mag compatibility is still on my list (not a must have) and I like the idea of having a sub-gun/pistol PCC that uses the same ammo as my Glock handguns. And the cost of 300 Blackout I'm told is 3-4x the cost of 9mm.
candidates thus far (in no order) are the H&K MP5, Sig MPX, CZ Scorpion and CMMG Banshee. Still learning and seeing what's out there...
How about a Ruger PC Charger in 9mm? Takes Glock mags with an adapter (think 30 round Happy Sticks ). $799 MSRP. Here's a bunch of listings on gunbroker. Review on Military Arms Channel (MAC) below. About 10 min into the video, he also tests the Stibog, CZ Scorpion, MP5, and MPX. https://www.gunbroker.com/All/search?Keywords=ruger charger&Sort=13 Been eyeing one of these, perhaps my Xmas present to myself . Running >$2500.
^ time ran out while I was looking for company below. Here are some kits: https://www.gunbroker.com/item/871227322 My buddy LOVES these little stinkers https://americanresistancegear.com/
Grand Power Stribog is also hot right now. It's cheaper than the Scorpion and has high praise from the gun community. Scorpion is better after some slight inexpensive mods and the magazine options are much, much better.
