Also don't forget to put in a new spacer https://www.ricambiamerica.com/car-diagrams/ferrari/v6-v8/355-group/f355-m5-2-1996/outside-gearbox-controls/159389-gasket.html under the shifter gate or the new surround will break just like the old one did. The spacer breaks down with age leaving the shifter gate supported by the thin surround and not the spacer which looks like what happened to yours in your photo. Dan
