    My wife and I will be in Paris for two nights in October - on our way to Bordeaux. Looking for an interesting hotel - any suggestions greatly appreciated. We typically take a flat, so not that familiar with Paris hotels.

    depends of your budget. If you want a really nice one but expensive : Shangri La, Plaza Athene, Park Hyatt.

    Less expensive but still good : Renaissance Paris Arc de triomphe.

    Or just use Airbnb. Some of them are beautiful. I am French, now live in Los Angeles and that is what i use when i flight back to Paris.
