A few months ago I had a rock or an acorn or something hit my car at speed and put a dimple in the top of the front fender on the driver's side on my 308QV. When I had the Acura in for service last time, I noticed that they advertised that they do paintless dent repair (PDR), so I finally decided to see what they could do with the Ferrari. It's AMAZING... you'd never know there used to be a dent there except for the center of it where I haven't polished out the small scratch where the rock hit. That small scratch is the only way I could be sure where the dent used to be -- the repair is THAT GOOD. It took the guy less time to massage out the dent than it did to write up the invoice -- literally! The repair was all done from inside the wheel well... it didn't require any touching of the paint surface at all.

Below is the BEFORE pictures. There's no reason to do AFTER pics, since there's nothing to see! If you've got door or hood dings that annoy you but haven't gone through the paint, PDR is the way to go... I'm sold on it now.

I had a smaller ding on the rear deck lid of my Porsche 993, and had the dent guy recommended by the dealer come out to the house and take care of it - the result was perfect (and the car was black, so it really showed).

I'd agree, no reason NOT to do this for any car you care about.

I had a dent on my roof from some neighborhood kid hitting it with a foot ball. I took it to dent pro and now you'd never know it was there. It fairly cheap too, definitely worth the money.

I had a local paintless dent guy do the entire passenger side of the 348 where there were probably at least a half dozen dings from careless parkers that he got out in about 30 minutes for a total cost of $70. It really is the best way to go.

Same experience for me. My Verdo Pino 308 had several dents in the doors that PDR took out pretty cheaply. No way you could find the dents afterwards.

After reading this i think i'll look into it for the Spitfire. When i waas about 6 (and didn't know any better) i would sit on the bonnet (hood) and there are some fairly large dents. They really annoy me because i know how they got there and they are fairly large. Thanks for the idea.

They need to be able to get behind the ding. Most dents can be done even if it appears to be impossible to get at. They are able to get the rods they use in places that just seem impossible to reach. If the ding is against a welded door support it will be tough to remove. We use them all the time at our shop.
