I never said I would use a zonda F to its full potential every day.

What I wrote wasn't aimed at you, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. IMO, the Veyron is just overrated and a tad boring, if you will.
Yup I sort of wrote that in my reply, but dosed of halfway through I think. Must be all those facts about the Veyron that come over so german :D

I too was at the factory in 2004 when the Zonda F was just coming around. Horacio was the most welcoming of everybody there. He had a unpainted carbon fiber Zonda, I cant remember if it was a C12 or an F but it was gorgeous. Zonda any day any time. Plus, if you compare the Veyron SS to the Zonda R or Cinque... seriously drool.

    C12, F, Cinque, R > Veyron

Pagani anyday. P is just much sportier than the Bug and a lot more attractive.

The Bug has cool tech & engineering but the styling really turns me off

I'd really consider a Cinque over a standard Veyron, but any other Zonda I'd have the Veyron. The top speed doesn't bother me that much, after all you're never going to achieve it, unless you own a 13 miles test track with a 5 mile arrow straight, straight. The Veyron is such an engineering achievement and a big FU to what possible, not in just what it does but how easily it does it, in the same way the the Nissan GT-R is but on a cheaper smaller scale. The Veyron is often criticised for how it looks, which I happen to like, I find the Zonda is to busy and in your face to live with.

I think if many of the Zonda fans had the chance to even ride in a Veyron their tune might be changing. The car is unlike any other, it truly is a world apart. My favorite stat is that it can go from 0-60-0 in less than 5 seconds and I can vouch for that. ;)

That said, one huge advantage the Veyron has for me is that it has class.

Zonda. Better looking, lighter, rear-wheel drive, 3 pedals, and the lovely CF body work.

First I've heard, using any metric, where a GTR can beat a Veyron.

Donor GT-R + 50-60.000 $ and the GT-R can surely beat it in some measurements, but not all of course...

But this to me is like comparing a ZR1 with a 599 GTO... Can't deny the difference in quality and attraction...

The ZR1 really is the better looking car...599 is far to oversized and bloated for me to really like it. From a distance it looks ok, but not from up close. :(

I wasn't being sarcastic. I agree. The latest v12's aren't good out of Maranello and 425k for a 599gto. Lmao.

    100k zR1 is a bargain.

how come they pretend to charge $1M + for a car with zero $ 0 engine development ???

Let the numbers speak for themselves :

    * In 10 years (1999 - 2010) they hardly sold less than a 100 Zondas ...

    * on the other hand the Veyron introducen in 2006 has sold 500 or so cars so far ....

~ 380, they'll never go over a total of 450. 300 Veyrons, production is now done and 150 Grand Sports.

For myself I think I would choose the Bugatti as it holds alot more historic value for me. The Pagani is oh so awesome but lets not forget it has a BMW based engine and the Bugatti was the first manufacturer to introduce the W16 engine configuration [yet to be seen in any other production vehicle] and to top that in a quad turbo configuration.

If I could afford one I could own both in a perfect world.
