I hope i'm not stepping on toes talking Pagani in a Ferrari community, but I figured that some of y'all may be able to help. I've heard that the upcoming Zonda replacement will be street legal in America. Can anyone confirm this? Does anyone know if there is a dealer network being set up in the States? I've also heard reports of a few people that managed to have Zonda's imported into the US. Can anyone confirm this? If so, do you know how they did it? About a year ago I tried to import a Zonda S for a family friend, but the deal ultimately fell through. We were going to see if it could be done under the "Show or display" clause. I was unable to determine if any of the other Zonda owners in the US used this method. Thanks for your help!
How dare you The Zonda replacement (Huayra?) will indeed be street legal in the US. Not sure about a dealership network. The car will use a Benz V12 so there could be some sort of agreement set up that way. http://www.autoblog.com/2010/10/29/report-twin-turbo-carbon-titanium-pagani-c9-being-developed-fo/ The late Benny Caiola had a few Zondas in the US, there was a thread not too long ago that stated he may have used dealer plates as a way of driving the car on the streets. http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=308429
There are definitely a few in the US. Here's one in LA from March 2010 and another in May 2006: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
think i might have found it.... http://www.paganizondareview.com/2011/10/pagani-zonda-s-roadster-at-auction-video/
Impressive that it sold for what was probably its list price new. I guess that the £1m+ price of Cinques and other editions have had an effect on the values of earlier Zondas.
Little wonder that Wyclef's Haiti relief charity is under investigation now-it brought in 15 million, not even a third of that went to Haiti, and of that money much seems to have been disbursed in a questionable way ($1 million to a company with no records for 'water', and a false address in Miami to boot). Another half a million went to a company owned by his brother in law.

His red C12S with black wheels was sold and was in Phoenix for a little while and I was told it's somewhere in California now.
on second look, i dont think the one in the auction is the one that was owned by the american guy, and still had italian export plates on it....the one in the auction was uk registered and was a different shade of red than the one i remember seeing on classic driver. so, if seeteuu is still around....can you tell us what your friend did with his car?
