Placed deposit awhile back - apparently banks opened on coupe F167 yesterday F167S not opened yet, trying for TM appt. Apparently coupe and spider to be built side by side. Anyone else have updates - perhaps Ferrari wants to announce "sold out" debut.
Is the spider expected to be a powered folding hardtop like the 812 gts or manual hardtop like the 812ca?
Thats been the pattern so far and I didnt hear anything from my dealer- but every dealer is different- it could be one is just getting prepared. You never know. In any event, my advice for anyone who wants this car, contact the dealer now and tell them you would like to put a deposit down as soon as possible. It never hurts to express interest. Im excited to learn more about the car and as it turns out I will be in Miami over the same dates and am hoping I’ll get a chance to see it…. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
I think you're correct. I was asked to confirm my interest for the new car but not for a deposit. They actually have a deposit for both variants as I canned my Purosangue and 296 orders and asked the dealer to keep the deposits for the F167. But officially, with Ferrari, I think I won't have my deposits registered.
Makes complete sense - cancelled 296 Spider due to height / top taking away space. They kept deposit to go towards F167 & Puro due to arrive any day, excited to add a V12. F167 front Daytona modern - debating to do same with coupe and spider but prefer to keep GTS.
Is it common to ask for deposits on a vehicle for which details, the design, the engine, the name, aren’t even revealed? Although I know a deposit isn’t 100% binding - isn’t it a bad look for the dealership and the customer (in the eyes of the factory) to cancel a deposit/allocation? just trying to learn / understand the process
Varies by dealership, which right now they just have a list of expression of interest..which is further broken down into different tiers. Once the car is revealed I believe they will start the build process along with a deposit, which they will only offer if they are fairly certain the allocation will be fulfilled.
This is my understanding as well. When I spoke to my dealer a week ago, he is waiting on the reveal and instructions.
2019 Monterey SF90 coupe debut - Spider arrived a few months ago. F167 seems to be moving quickly to production by unveiling both coupe and spider. We are close to seeing the final front engine V12 outside camo.
Varryx was quoted in an article - for those who do not know him he posts on Ig and shared his insights on next gen. More important he will assist in a spec - knows the TM factory with all the new colors etc. He charges a minimal and I mean minimal fee and sends texts calls to go over his thoughts. We went over a lot of configurations on XX - while I went a different direction then what we worked on he was very helpful in eliminating color options. Atelier sometimes later gets "some" TM options.
The coupe is in the computer - as F167 Modern Daytona is interesting. Image Unavailable, Please Login
