Hello everyone. I searched but can’t find any details on the optima red top vent. Most posts are about why not to get an Optima battery.

In any case, I have an optima red top 34r and can’t for the life of me find the vent to attach the vent tube. Do these batteries have a vent? Can anybody advise on where it might be? Thank you !

    Sealed battery. No vent necessary.

Thank you for the quick and assuring reply! I just wanted to validate since what I read is batteries mounted inside vehicle need to be vented. I wish there was details saying “unless sealed, battery needs venting when mounted inside vehicle”, but I couldn’t find them. Thank you for your help! I’ll continue use :)

I just removed my red top from my car to charge it. Correct, there’s no vent on the battery, it’s sealed. I just move the cars vent tube to the side when I installed the battery

AGM batteries do not require vents. Conventional lead-acid batteries do. Yes, I know AGMs are a form of lead-acid battery, but different architecture.
