Looking to get back on the Ferrari purchase with a 575M - looking for feedback on values present and future (ie have they hit bottom or is there more to go). I know nobody can predict the future and i am not trying to lose money just don’t want to buy on the down slide. I had a 456 previously so i guess I am just partial to the front engine cars.

Seem like pricing is ranging from 80s to 90s right now. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Generally speaking, once a Ferrari reaches 15 years old, it is past any dramatic depreciation move.

As stated previously, it’s anyone’s guess, but if you own a manual, three pedal 575M, my guess is you won’t be losing money. You’re right on the money :D

    Kind regards,

    Nuno.

They will likely nadir in the 70s before starting a slow uptick. I say this as an owner.

this got me excited but then I looked on ebay and dupont. Most 575's go for more than 80-90.

    Mmmmmm...
Well, Y do U think they would visit the 70s?
I mean UR guess of expected drop is regarding the whole market in general as well?
Or there is something else concerning the 575m specifically?
    Asking as an owner:)

    I bought my 2003 575M with 26k last may for $93k
it was a 6 owner car
right now it has 45k plus on it ( you can go to the post 575 on the move )
I find that cars that have more owners are well sorted out
I am a driver not a washer and waxer
you should be able to get a nice one for around $75k
stay away from the GTC package with the Joseph Mengele seats!
    not worth it my opinion

there is not advantage with a 3 pedal car other than bragging rights and having to deal with the horrible 2nd gear issues
and sadly enough those who have owned the car don't know how to drive with a clutch so you will see
    Clutch Replaced at.....

Bring a trailer has reset the pricing on these cars over the FML as well.
    Good Hunting !!!

The 550/575 is my favorite front-engined car made in the last 2 decades. They are severely under-appreciated by the market. At the current price point, one of the best values too!

In 2012 I could buy a mint condition 575 M manual stick in Germany for 60.000 euro. Black/cream. So they are not on their way down. Mor like up!! Good luck.

Clyde- HGTC did not include the racing seats, which were a separate option. HGTC 575Ms are the best Maranellos Ferrari produced and their prices reflect the upgrades and relative rarity of the HGTC option. The huge CCM brakes alone are a great upgrade, and the package included upgraded F1 and shock absorber ECUs, stiffer springs and rear anti-roll bar, upgraded front shock absorbers, and even a different front underbody with brake ducts and hoses to the front brakes.

To me, definitely worth the extra money.

A 3 pedal 575 bid to $211K on BAT today and did not reach reserve!
Buy one for $90K. Change to 3 pedal for $30K & make a bunch of money. I don’t get it!?

    You would be wasting money
The F-1 gearbox is the way to go
It shifts way smoother than anything and it never misses a gear
It’s the equivalent of an F-15
Even a lieutenant can do it !

I agree. I thoroughly enjoy driving my 2005 575M 140875 with HGTC package, Daytona seats w/inserts and upgrades Taz listed. Bought it in August 2010 with no regrets.

Lucky! HGTC cars rarely if ever come up for sale in the US.

    Enjoy in good health

This week I made a $105k offer on a relatively low mileage (non-Red, F1) example with a decent service history, and the seller scoffed at me...but everything I see from list prices on a half dozen similar examples to auction prices really had me believing my offer was solid, or at least worth countering. Seller wants $130k.

EDIT: pretty "standard" option list as well...

    Low mileage means nothing
Just make sure all the important stuff has been done
Motor mounts and service bulletins etc
    That’s my opinion

FWIW was a Ferrari dealer. They have had car from a trade-in for a bit over a month. Maybe they will call me back in a couple months :D...Didn't get into details on clutch life/other important service issues, as too far apart on price...car is not a "popular" exterior/interior color by any means (which I experienced when selling my 488!). I thought my offer was very good, though admittedly I am less educated on these than other models, but I simply couldn't find any evidence, be it active listings and recent trades, to suggest $130k was anywhere near the right price.

Ferrari dealers with a fresh service often have higher asking...but not a 30% premium.

Ha exactly! I got the copy of the last service they did upon receiving the car, and it was just for sticky buttons. That was it. Worth something, but not $30k! Not sure when last belt work was done, clutch life, etc...was part of my offer's contingencies. Dealer claimed my offer was "below wholesale", which did lead to quite a chuckle on my end.

Michael, if this helps - when I purchased my 2005 575M HGTC in August 2010 I paid $131K. Miller's asking price was $132,900. Its MSRP was $272K which included $25,248 for the HGTC. Service is up to date as of June 2020 on major service, new tires, battery, a/c compressor, water pump and check point list. I don't believe from my perspective your offer is below wholesale or not worth countering.

    HGTC is very, very nice.
    In second place is FHP.

Regarding Clyde's comment, the manual gearbox is wonderful to use and feel. Each to their own on that one.

575s are very different depending on their spec, unlike 550s which are mostly pretty much the same as each other. I can't think of a V12 2 seat Ferrari whose options/spec and years make such a difference to the experience. HGTC vs early 575 is a bigger difference even than HGTE vs early 599.
