Russo and Steele does not have their results. Barrett Jackson 1985 400i with a 5.7 installation for $49,500. Anyone else know of any cars?

Yes that was a Chevrolet 5.7 out of a Corvette. I would think it would hurt the value considerably. The car did look clean.

What a terrible way to destroy a great car.

Who knows where that orig engine is. These cars were unloved for a long time-anybody who likes these has a 'I should have bought' story- I know I do. Still-they didn't make many, it's better to have a vette engine in there than part it out yrs ago

$50k without the factory engine? Wow! I'm out of touch. How much am I supposed to be insuring mine for now?

Barrett Jackson has a lot of resto-mods that they auction, this one could be considered as much.

I believe the displacement in the 400 is 4823cc, or 4.8L

Again, a resto-mod...I think it's someone who doesn't want to deal with Ferrari mechanics.

For now, Less! But that may change in the near future, time'll tell :D
