Thanks to rainforest and he had enlightened me. I have changed my order from Rosso Scuderia which has too much of an orange tone to Rosso Corsa. Now I happened to have watched KILLERS, the movie, with Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl and saw this:

The tan seems to be growing on me (or is that CUOIO a la Ferrari?) but I wonder if it soils easily. I do know tan seems to darken up over time and it would look great new. Any comment on how tan holds up over 6-12 months? Black is always safe but Rosso Corsa on Cuoio is always classic to me.

I think that's a great choice IMO. I don't love the Scuderia on the California....

The interior on the pic you attached is Cuoio I believe. You should be able to find quite a few pictures of red and cuoio in this forum.

    Enjoy!

If you like tan, you'll love cuoio!

Love the cuoio. It's very rich, but hides marks. Looks great with just about every ext color. Love it with my TdF

Cuoio and tan are not the same color. The cuoio is much darker and many people like it more because it has a richer look. Depending on the model the cuoio can be harder to sell. At ferrari of edison they had an f430 coupe red/cuoio that sat for many weeks while many red/regular tan sold right by it. For some it doesn't matter but it is definitely becoming more and more popular. If you ask some dealers, dont ask the ones who are selling you the car, but the truthful third parties will tell you the truth about cuoio vs regular tan.

An exception to this is black spiders on cuoio. This interior choice seems to be 'the choice' for black cars.

I think the cali looks better with cuoio.

And as far as the scuderia red, dont go for it. Even on the CS and 430 Scud it doesnt look right, especially next to a rosso corsa car. It should be called Scuderia Orange, not red. The F1 cars are in Corsa btw.

Don't know from the picture but it looks like tan.

I have two red/tan cars. My 7 year old 360 still looks great. I think tan and castoro carpets hold up pretty well.

Cal- Here are some Ferrari leather colors. More now available on the newer cars, but this shows some of them. From the left: Crema, Sabbia, Beige, Cuoio, Rosso, Bordeaux. That California looks like it has Cuoio, my favorite leather color.

stitchings are always safe and young. Cuoio should be ok in terms of car care and dirt but the worst would be Creme... that would soak dirt easily with top open...

so it's either cuoio or black interior... the wait is just too long now... I wonder if a jan 2011 prod for March delivery is considered a 2011 model or 2010 model?

I think the 2013 will have a launch in Paris Motor show on the M which will come in 2014 first quarter so that would be 2013 model year for the 2013 rollout so my car should be considered 2010... any idea?

Cal- In the US, September 20xx dated Ferraris are usually 20xx+1 model year cars. Your car will be a 2011. My November 2003 575M is a 2004 model year.

Cal, another consideration you might think about is whether you will leave the top down in direct sunlight. I would imagine black gets hotter than cuoio.

Taz, where was your photo taken? Looks like an auto show, but I don't recall seeing "atelier" bits at the shows.

Good choice on the colour change, RC looks good with Tan (as my 1st was)

I like Cuoio too but went for tan again in number 2 with black inlays to break it up

I personally think Tan or Cuoio look classier than Black

My cuoio looks even better almost a year later. It just gets richer and richer. A nice patina, I suppose!

S- I swiped it from another FChatter in the Maranello forum. Do not know the source. Obviously fairly recent since the 575s and F430s (I think) were not available with the diamond pattern. Believe that started with the 612s, but not sure.

Taz, thanks. I've seen 612s with the diamond pattern, and vaguely recall a 599 with it, but don't recall any 430s - almost always see Daytonas or sport seats on the 430s. I "borrowed" the idea for cuoio with nero diamond stitching from a 612 I saw at my dealer.

Jennifer, your remarks about cuoio patina are very encouraging to me! Have you been using a leather treatment on your seats, or have they just been naturally aging into a darker color?

I wipe it down gently with a cloth that is moistened with plain water and a little leather conditioner mixed in. I think the natural oils of my skin help, too! The joy of a convertible in Texas!

Mine is Beige and after 8 months and 13,800 miles it looks great. I use Lexol to clean and condition it. Lexol helps it keep that new leather smell

Rick has your Beige also darkened? Except for 1 car which has ventilated seats (many small perforations that could get clogged), I've used Lexol for my car leather.

Lexol, huh. Thanks. I'm new to all these products but will get this one and test it out. Is it available at most auto part stores?

EDIT: Found it on Amazon. Love Amazon!
