The C2s is a little underpowered. They handle and drive nicely though. I agree the gear ratio choices are different, especially first to second. In retrospect, the Turbo was a pretty good deal back then. Any one building a time machine? Robb, have you thought about a 512TR? That is also one of my favorite Ferrari’s. Unfortunately, just like the 993’s, the 512TR market isn’t what it was 9 or 10 years ago.
I like the 512tr but see it very similar to the F355. 512 is heavier and slower. I also think the newer F355 is a more beautiful design. so I’d be ok owning one, but don’t see it as complimentary in the garage next to a 355. Robb
I agree, I think the F355 is prettier as well, but the 512TR/TR is iconic. 512TR, F355, Diablo and 993 were the nineties icons. I think the market has shown that, except for the F355 which seems to be catching on more recently. Limited production never hurts either. The F355 might be prettier but the 512TR is wild looking. If not the 512TR, the 458 Italia would make a nice companion for the F355. Obviously it’s not a twelve cylinder, but a beautiful evolution on the F355. Good luck and have fun shopping.
F40 has a 512M that is very nice. I know the owner, though haven't seen him in a few years. Serious collector. 18/75 for the US. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

I've installed them with small amount of double sided tape at the front and the factory sill screws. Is Elliott’s method something different?
I put hook and loop tape so the panel is easily removed later on and the factory washer/screws. It’s important to build some height into the sill cover on the F355 so the edge of the sill doesn’t sit on the painted rocker panel and mark it.
New badge replaced today (top). I think the original one after 25 years earned its retirement. Robb Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I am so pleased with the new sills installed. They look great. Thanks Elliott for the install suggestions. Robb Image Unavailable, Please Login
Don't just put the old ones away, Robb. If you have a steady hand, you can restore them: "308" and "quattrovalvole" Badge Emblem Estoration Barry
Car is back together. 70 degree high today in Mesa. Car was dirty but I hit a shower on the way up to the mountains anyway so it didn’t really matter... Will get it properly cleaned up this week. This was me stopping on the way back down to my place with the iphoneX Robb Image Unavailable, Please Login
What with the rear wheel? Looks like a lot of negative camber. Optics? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Must be the iPhone camera tilted way up and it being at the edge of the frame. car is lowered a bit with spacers. But does not exhibit the high camber will have to shoot some of the car with my good cameras to reduce distortion. Robb
Engine cart powder coated and coming home May not keep the Rosso Scuderia / dino wheels... Robb Image Unavailable, Please Login
Couple days ago hitting my favorite pull-off at the end of a drive. Photo with the iPhone X. I am ordering the new iphone 12 on Friday so that should be helpful for the better built in camera... I know you all have seen this spot with all my cars but the weather and light always changes at least... I love stopping here. Robb Image Unavailable, Please Login
Nice scenery there, Robb. In stark contrast, here I am stuck in traffic on Route 1&9 in Newark... Image Unavailable, Please Login You have to behave yourself in that neighborhood. If you take up two parking spots so as not to get dinged, this will happen... Image Unavailable, Please Login
You sure that car is alright, Robb. Honest, I haven't been drinking and I'm not on drugs. What lens are you using? Image Unavailable, Please Login
That’s an iPhone X on the wider lens with the camera placed couple of inches off the ground and tilted way up to get the clouds. So any exaggeration is because of tilting the camera up. Just like what happens to skyscrapers when you look up with their perspective. But this is obviously not that extreme. picture and car look fine to me but I am used to distortion with wide lenses. I prefer longer lenses but you can’t always get the landscape and car given space sometimes. If I need to start shooting my runs with my architectural shift lenses just let me know. lots of photos with the real cameras and lenses earlier in the long thread. Here is the car with a canon 85mm lens - my preference. Image Unavailable, Please Login Robb
