Hmm; Mark (and Dave); So when's a good time for you to make a weekend jaunt to Cinci? BTW Mark I do not use the 400i daily. In the year or so that I've owned it I've driven it maybe 50 miles. No joke. In contrast; I just put 3200 miles on my 308 this past March.
Checked on a ticket for tonight. It was a bit pricey, $600. I'm checking the calander as we speak. That doesn't count. You were just looking for an excuse to take a road trip down to Florida to see the 5-speed 400i I bought
Aaron, PM me your email addy, I can't find it on this computer. What do you say we put this "spark plug wire connection" issue to rest once and for all? Tomorrow I'll take a picture of my cap and trace out the wires on the left bank (there is that French stuff again). I'll photoshop the picture of the cap with arrows and writing that says where each wire goes by location instead of #. Example; "This wire is the one for the left side closest to the front of the car" "This wire is left side all the way back" etc.etc I'll email you the picture.
Here you go Aaron. I didnt want to confuse you by using numbers. So lets remember the following: Cylinder # A is the closest to the front of the car B is next C D E F is closest to the firewall. I emailed this to you with a MUCH larger and detailed picture. Let me know if this helps. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Dave, I think you might have B and D reversed. Aaron, On the left side, the cylinder in front is 12 and it runs back to 7 at the fire wall.
Mark, Ok, that's the right way then. If you're sitting in the car looking forward, #1 begins at the right front and ends with #12 at the left front.
