Tricky. Jonathan must have a list of the 308 GTB fibreglass new in white, the reg look like xxG713R - is that enough to track it down?

19385 UVH23R in foc register shows on dvla as blue.

See attached - do these help?

Sorry Robert. You have had a senior moment. UVH23R is 19835.

I have had 19385 through my hands (stunning, stunning car) Sold new by Colmore Depot and when I had it, it was still on the original number, NOX400R which was first issued August 1976 in Birmingham. It even still had the original Colmore Depot plates.

Ah yes, the one that Harry M had all too briefly - I always tell him he should never have sold it whenever I get the chance! ;)

Der. Well If it is Harry's ex car, it sounds like it has an interesting history.

Senior moment? Careful, sensitive subject - it was my birthday on Saturday. 45's not that old... Is it?

Ha ha ! I am vindicated.

Look in the FOC register - page 165: 19385 is UVH23R

Then further down 19835 is UVH23R as well....

At least I'm not going senile!

    s/n 19843 - reg in the pic is 'OTS719R'.

Reg was changed to '308WHT' in mid 1984. Colour changed to yellow in 2006.

Last owner had it for 22 years; was exported in April 2013.

Next question... does anyone know the origin of the photo? Looks like it's from a proper photoshoot.

If it's helpful, Twitter has just helped to ID the bottle as White Horse scotch!

    1. Saw this 288 GTO at Emblem Sportscars July 1994 - reg is MO806392. Which car is this?
    2. The real deal RHD factory Daytona Spyder at Silverstone - 15917
    3. Yellow Koenig Competition convertible at Pullicinos in London August 1995
    4. 250 GTO #3527 when owned by Stephen Pilkington at Oulton Park in the 1990s - he used to drive it to the FOC testdays, do a few laps, park it in the paddock and drive it home. Later sold to Irvine Laidlaw, who had it Moto Technique restored and it is now sort of maroon coloured.

    9. This F40 was at Reg Vardy in Sundridge Park in Kent in July 1990 - identity?
    10. This 288 GTO ws owned by Barry Walker from the MG Parts Centre in Chislehurst in Kent - here at Keston Mark garage - who is the driver anyone? June 1989.
    11. A few hundred metres from my childhood home in Bickley in Kent - kept seeing this 412 42 BMF, which was then replaced by G113BPF, which was then sadly written off.

NOT Modena "MO". It rather looks like "PD" = Padova.
Please check with your original photo, thank you.

No idea on the 288 GTO, Robert - but the 512 BB in the reflection is s/n 27375.

The white 512 BB is s/n 24099. Still in original colours - the seat stripes are dark red.

I have seen this car INCORRECTLY labelled as 24009 in several places; spawned no doubt from an erroneous original entry in the Ferrari Owners Club Register. I don't believe there is a 512 BB anywhere in the world with chassis number 24009.

    Hi Marcel,

Yes it is clear in the original PD. Had never looked closely as aid always assumed it was MO.

Do you know which car this is?

I like these threads the most. I grew in an old school military family. Canadian armed forces are patterned on the British. My mom was born in 1952 and my grand father was in the army when she was born. She grew up around the army. As my grand father retired in 1976. My Dad was born in 1946. He was also born in a military family and grew up around the Navy. You see my grand father crossed the bar in 1970.

The first automobile I really liked was Rolls Royce. Its also the only brand I respect the buyers who buy instantly. I'm of a Rolls Royce never dies it merely ceases to proceed generation.

I was born in 1972. I first learned of Rolls Royce because a Man up the street had one. He didn't buy another until the new models first known updates. I first saw a brand new Rolls Royce in Vancouver at Carter Motors. Carter motors was also the Ferrari dealer at the time. They rarely had new Ferrari's on the showroom. That was 1983. I started watching Magnum PI. I also wondered why you rarely saw brand new Ferrari on the dealers show room floor.

I highly respect our Vancouver Ferrari dealers and the ones that have small collections of loved older models.

You see Ferrari isn't just a name or fast car to me its a legend.

I love how people are particular about serial numbers and details of originality with Ferrari. Not only loved but cherished as well.

    Excellent work Mr. M

    Good afternoon Zudnic,

Like you, I have always had an interest in Rolls-Royces. Although I don't have one just now (unless you count a Bentley from the R-R era), I have had a few over the years (4 R-Rs and 3 R-R built Bentleys).

I am sure I would get into trouble if I posted photos of R-Rs in a thread for photos of Ferraris(!), but if you are interested, you should be able to find pictures of my cars on this website Bluebottle

Saw this Rosso Barchetta F50 in the old Wilmslow showroom when it was new around 1996. No idea where it is now. Any ideas ? Is it the one that went racing in the UK ? (That I believe is now yellow in Florida) Not many Rosso Barchetta F50 models made.
