    Good Morning!

Reaching out to those in or around Oklahoma City for route suggestions in or around OKC and/or to the East towards Tulsa area ( but starting in or around OKC )

I am wanting to put together a Sunday Morning Drive that could leave from somewhere near downtown OKC and last for 1.5 to 2.0 hours. Ending somewhere unique, interesting, hole in the wall, but with Ferrari friendly parking. It can start and end in OKC. It can start and end an hour out from OKC / Tulsa ( Stillwater for example ) whatever, at this point, I am looking for input and ideas.

I am planning on coming up and pre-driving a bunch of roads and stopping in to visit some eateries later this month.

Suggestions, ideas, links to locations, etc welcome.

If you have a "YOU MUST DRIVE this road" , please send me the details, I am open to all suggestions!

At the same time, if you have somewhere I should absolutely stay away from, please tell me... LOL

Thank you in advance for your help!

And yes, I will share what comes together in this thread.

Most of the best driving roads are to the east of Tulsa in the foothills of the Ozarks and along the Arkansas border and that might be a longer haul than you're looking for - Skyline Drive between Mena and Talihina is spectacular and with about 60 miles of winding roads and steep elevation changes and the Queen Wilhelmina State Lodge is a great overnight stop. Within your range, however, is the Rock Cafe in Stroud on Old Route 66. Its claim to fame is that it was the inspiration for "Cars", the animated film, and the personalities are based on local characters. There's a bunch of related memorabilia and an adjoining themed gift shop. Pretty decent Ma & Pa comfort food, a 15-20 car parking lot, and supplemental on street parking. No issue with security - it's a small town. If you PM me I can recommend other roads - I live in the Tulsa area.

Spent many a weekend drive to Hot Springs then drive back to Dallas via the Talihina trail with lunch at Queen Wilhelmina State Lodge back home by late afternoon!

I wish we had the time to make that drive!

    I will PM you

Week out, coming to OKC Thursday to pre-drive some options.

I have one route that starts at the Omni downtown, 15 minutes of highway driving, then across route 66

Another option starts at Pop's near Arcadia , with options to stop along the way at the Red Barn , then a casino for a quick bet, then on to lunch.

Not finalized yet, in case anyone has any other suggestions for must go to lunch spots on Sunday, in or around OKC

I don't want to miss a chance to drive a must drive road and/or stop for Sunday Brunch somewhere locals would go... non-franchise if you know what I mean.

Also, I'm around Thursday/Friday night for dinner if anyone has suggestions...

    It did! Good memory.

but they re-opened it and continue cooking on the same grill, just a little differently “seasoned!”
