I use Mobil 1 Synthetic because it's a good oil and easy access to get.

Just an update, I had a loose wire on the top of my fuel tank and had to drop the tanks again after many months. I decided to check the rubber grommet I made from the hose that is rated for Alcohol. It's in great condition. Now just for future reference, Dave Helms is making some Rubber Grommets for the car from what I understand that will do what my rubber hose solution does.

Dave Helms has my fuse panel right now because I wanted to beef it up and curb any issues that could happen down the road. I will post back later on this.

This winter Iam intending to do the 30K job and would love to illustrate it the way you did. Any advise when the time comes. You almost have a step by step instructional pictorial manual. AMAZING.Because of guys like you on this site, helped me make the decision of purchusing my 512.

And Adam made me pimp my engine bay almost in the same way ...... :)

Please make a very detailed posting like Adam did !!!

But if you are not subscribed you will have the same problem that Adam has: no more uploading ... and that would be a pitty (wtf the few extra $$$'s ) !

I am still driving her and looking to do so until we get a hint of frost . The engine out is still going has planned but Iam now hesitating because of all this diff failure talk. Iam not concerned about the major but if I do decide to upgrade the diff, I know this is something mechanically that I could'nt do. I did a ring and pinion gear. Hangs on my 95 mustang but this is clearly not the same. I still have my dial indicator in the garage in the same place I left it in 96.

Don, if you did the C&P, exchanging the diff is peanuts imo !

I like this thread very much!!! So many information and really outstanding pictures. So as I have to do the cam belt service on my 512TR also now, I have a question, I could not find
an answer in the pictures: Is it correct you put out the AC compressor for removing the engine and install it back, after you put it in again ? To me it seems, the engine cannot be lifted out of the frame without removing the compressor as it is colliding with the
    frame below the window.
Thank you so much for your answer

    Thank you Mel,
    I will try !
Well, the car runs very, very smooth and fine and there is absolutely no problem
with the gerar box (nock on wood it will stay so), as the car is more a collecting
car and drives only maybe 500km a year.
I will carefully read your recommended thread and consider what to do.

    Best wishes ever

    Ruedi
