Plug wires look fine, remember the 512TR has coil packs on each side of the motor, not the distributors at the rear like a regular TR.

Well the end is near. I want to Thank my good friend Joey for helping out and my brother for putting up with me. Also an honorable mention to Doug! He managed to help out and net even get his hands dirty. (I think people who live in Locus Creek have restrictions about doing work that gets you dirty! LOL!)

Today we got the engine in the car. I was going to try to finish up today, but I need to take a break. I am tired and I don't want to rush anything. So I will continue to work on it through the week. I may have about 6-7 more hours of work to do before I start it up. Still have to put in the exhaust system, coolant, all fluids, bleed the clutch, put the radiators back in, rear deck lid on and some other minor stuff.

    Enjoy the pictures.

Adam...you have been an inspiration to all of us. The work you have done, and in an unbelievably quick schedule....is just incredible. In the past, I have done 2 threads about doing engine-out services on the Testarossa...so I know how much time it takes to take pics, upload them, and do the narration onto the web for all to see. People must understand that when a thread like this progresses....there is quite a bit of pressure on the originator to get things exactly right - because others may use the thread as a guide on their own cars.

The 512TR is what I consider the best of the whole Testarossa series of cars. The 512TR is a modern mid-engined 12-cylinder car, and except for the Enzo the last one made by Ferrari. As most knowledgeable people will tell you when comparing the 512TR to the Testarossa....it's 100% more car for 50% more money - and I'm happy to say that values for the 512TR and TR seem to be climbing up at the moment. I'm just thrilled that you started this thread on one my all-time favorite Ferraris!

I love seeing a perfect factory-stock and like-new engine bay - I study them and soak up all the details. When we talked on the phone I mentioned that going to red intakes may be overkill....but seeing the finished engine I see that you were right and I was wrong! And now to see that engine in the car....all I can say is WOW!

P.S.: As others have mentioned....can't wait to see the Diablo completed (another one of my dream cars).

Thanks Car guy, appreciation like yours makes writing this up more rewarding.

I do have to thank my buddies for giving me a helping hand in doing all of this. To be honest with you I am happy I am almost done with this. it's a big moneky off my back and a whole lot of peace of mind. The next time I take if out, I will be diving in on the internals of the car.

This was a great thread and I keep coming back to check on progress.
I dont have a Testarossa........or even a Ferrari. The Testarossa is my dream Ferrari that I long to own. I dont know if I will ever own a Testarossa but I can hope.
I will have a Ferrari one day. I came close to buying one last year but I ended up moving to a bigger house and putting a bit of a dent in my Ferrari budget. Now I got the house I want and the wife and kids are happy, its time to start saving hard to make that dream come true. Its reading threads like these that keeps me stoked up and focused on that dream.

Well this will be the last of the pictures on this write up. I wil try to get a video up soon. Everything seem to come together pretty nicely. I may end up powder coating my air boxes black. Not sure yet.

Everything is on, tightened and filled.

Here you go. It's been a project I am glad that is over with. Now it's time to get the Lamborghini back on the road! But I will wait til next week, My fingers are still sore from turning so many bolts and screws!
