WOW. Great post and pix Adam. Thanks.
I got my headers and all exhaust pieces back from having them Cermaic coated on the inside and cermachrome on the outside. Temps are good for 2000 degree. It will cut on heat about 40%. Not bad. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
That was really fast!! Does it normally only take a couple of days for them to do it? They look great. May I ask what the cost is for something like that? Or PM me. Beautiful!
I have a local guy here that does them for me. He can do it for anyone and does a great job. I paid about $550-$600
Thats not bad at all. Youre lucky the car already came with the PRECAT straight pipes. I guess now would be a good time to change out the main cats "IF" you want it louder. Will the finish eventually tarnish or change color?
Today, I spent most of the time cleaning and detailing my engine. The engine had many years of grime and oil built up all over the engine. One thing I can not stand on my engine is oil and dirt. It drives me nuts! So I am cleaning it up. Next I will be replacing hoses and gaskets after I take inventory of what I need. Now does your mechanic detail like I do? I would do this on any customer's car! Just for grins I put on the headers manifolds to see what they will look like, but I bet it will look better with the covers on them. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I can't quit looking at and reading this. Great job Adam. That 512TR will be better than it was on delivery mile #1. Well, cleaner and happier anyway. Keep it up!
I sent you a PM SMS and William your inbox is full so I can not send you the info as of yet until you clear out your box.
How did you pressure wash the engine with the cam shafts, wires, etc. exposed? Any concern about water getting into something that wasn't supposed to get wet and causing problems? Just curious. Great work! ...Keith
I am just careful. And if water got in anywhere, no big deal...it would fall out the bottom because all seals and gaskets are being replaced along with all fluids. No water would get into the intake because they are all blocked off. I am now going to have both my radiators checked for leaks and cleaned at the same time. I think I may have a small leak in the seam somewhere. No big deal on that. it can be easily fixed and they will be almost new when I get them back from the radiator shop. Cost for both will be under $150 bucks. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Dear Ferraristi, Adam, can you point me out to this injector? I would like to replace them on my Roadster. Shamile Freeze....Miami Vice !
I will have to dig through my notes. I just had all my injectors benched flowed and cleaned. I had one injector that is 10% below all others so I will replace that one. It appears that the injectors are about Identical to the Diablo injectors.
This is a great thread, thanks for all of your hard work documenting this! Just wondering, is this pretty much identical to the process for the Testarossa? I understand the Testarossa engine can come out top or bottom, is that right? Anything else I should know? thanks, keep up the great postings.
I may put on a oil cooling fan, but since I am not tracking the car I don't think the trans cooler is necessary. What do you think?
I think you should have been on this forum last year, so I would have sent you my car for a major ... geez......I feel like bringing down my car to your place for winter storage....
