I'm afraid this will prove right. You already can see the difference in light reflection from bumper to hood currently on most F models. Unfortunately, I can only see it getting worse in such a special spec.

Nothing against colored carbon, even if I personnaly don't like red carbon on grey.

It's more the lipstick livery wich completely disturbs the eye like said Traveller.
The combination of this and red carbon in grey paint is over the top in my own tastes.

I felt by his comment that Traveller's issue was with the red carbon mainly.

I tried a grey stripe with matt carbon and yes it looked pretty wicked. But it was too monochromatic. It was the interior where that color scheme fell apart. The blue should look good. Much darker than what people imagine.

Yes, I'm worried about the paint. We will see.

Its all too much together, lipstick and carbon, although I am no lover of the lipstick, albeit it looks like the Factory have done a great job in the detail. For me it is simply overdesigned as a total package and takes away from what is an iconic design. Again, looking at the rear you have the red carbon fighting with the red lights and reflectors-all too messy.

    Truly overguilding the lily.

That depends on your personal taste.

You can go after timeless and subtle design, or you can go silly way, and make your F12TDF "circus bear style" that is interesting to guys like Shmee150 so he can get as much as possible clicks on his videos.

As for interior, you must think out of the box in order to integrate grey color along with cuoio leather.

I was part of design team where we faced similar problem matching bare alu and painted plastic elements. Final results were awful to our trained eyes, to ordinary people it was great.

Also, I hope your F12 TDF will be garage queen, since repairing any panel of your car could be potential nightmare, even for Ferrari that will make these panels in first place. I assume you know why...

It was due to be ready end of November with an early December collection and since I want to drive back, somewhat of a once in a lifetime event for me with such a car, snow, ice, Apline passes and a tdf didn't seem like a good idea. Consequently I have rather unusually actually asked them to delay production until April at the earliest. The big negative is I am getting increasingly frustrated as I see other cars delivered, the positives are it will be a 2017 reg for what that's worth, and I hopefully am trying to arrange a very special somewhat one off collection followed by more hopefully an unrepeatable drive. Worth the wait-just.

You can still drool over one of the best looking F40 out there as a consolation prize :)

Its interesting that those 2 cars are probably worth more than house in background (although most American houses doesnt look expensive as houses in Europe)
