I think the 812 GTS is an absolutely stunning front engine, naturally aspirated, open top V12. At first I wasn’t sure about the design but it is really growing on me.
I’d love to pick up a lightly used one but have no idea what values are doing.

It's the first Ferrari my my wife saw and said she wanted. It's gorgeous.

Why not order a new one rather than pay over list for a used one at the moment?

Are they over list? Honest question hence the thread. I have several friends that haven’t filled their GTS orders specifically because they are worried about depreciation and a few of them sold coupes for decent losses. Most coupe owners (myself included when I sold) are very underwater, so wasn’t sure if GTS will hold up better. I think I could probably find a slot but I am getting really tired (like many I think) of losing money car after car because of the new pricing policy. I just sold yet another car at a loss last week.

Wow. You’re right of course. I am amazed how good the 812 is. I’m only sorry I won’t be getting a VS and will take my GTS allocation in consolation.

GTS is great and with 812 VS open version being a targa will really help GTS values I think

Over here, they seem to be only just above list.
Sadly, the dealers were forced to buy demo cars at the end of last year, so when they come on the market at a similar time and clog it up, this will reduce the value as the Superfast did, but I can't see them losing the same amount. So far there has been just a handful of the GTS advertised so far.

I do think that the GTS will hold value better than the Coupe since it seems to be produced in lower numbers vs the Coupe and there is no clear next car like the GTS was for the Coupe. On the flip side a GTS is now almost a $600k car and there are not many buyers fishing in that pool. Ferrari has definitely priced majority of the premium out of its cars.

    THIS ...

I know some will disagree but I think we are going to be in for a high shock when 812 VS pricing comes out ...

Thoughts regarding the 812GTS I have incoming; I have had a titanio F12 and currently have a RC over black 812SF, and realize that the Ferrari V12 is the absolute pinnacle of motoring nirvana...period, no discussion, IMO of course.
I do not care how many GTSs are made, I do not care if there is a global financial meltdown, I do not care if loony-ass Euro tree-hugging idiots think they are saving the world with electric cars (they’re not)—the 812 GTS open-top V12 Ferrari will be a car to keep for the ages. If you can spec your dream car—do it. If you can save $15K used for your exact car—wonderful. If you wait and save $15K for a used car that you are a little “meh” about—then you’re a fool.
    :)

To me the all in price of the Pista Piloti that you kindly shared was the real high shock!
IMHO, the all in price of the 812 VS is going to be in the 7-800k range for the coupe and the 8-900k range for the Aperta.

I should add that the Speciale is also in this rare air for me as well. :)
If there were only two sports cars I could have for the rest of my life they would be 812GTS and Speciale.

Wait, you sold the dealer your Portofino for a loss so he could have inventory to sell? Why?

Yes they needed inventory to re-sell at a profit and I could then order a new Portofino M that he can make money on and so that I can “have an order in the system”. It is the TOP/VIP game. Playing is optional, but then don’t complain if you don’t get an 812 VS or other goodies you might want!

Like Patek - sometimes its easier to just buy on the grey market IMO. Yes u wont get to spec the car but maybe way less hassle and games
