Starting it off w/ a bang. Beautiful 599, black/black parked two cars away from a Maybach 57S in midtown in NYC. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Me too. BANG!!! Made me smile for my first 09 spot. Today S/B Wantaugh Pky. just N/ of Sunrise Hwy at around 3:30PM RED ENZO
Yesterday 1/4/09 spotted a Red Mondial t Cabriolet on Pal Parkway. I was jumping on the parkway, and F-car was exiting the parkway on Exit 5S.
Apparently it was registered in late November. Pictures (especially cell) do not do it justice. It's much smaller than I imagined; miniaturized in a way. Interior is beautiful. Redline according to tach is 7500. Hope the owner doesn't mind me snapping a few L]
I think the owner is on this board. He owns the P4/P5 (?), if i am not mistaken. There was a thread regarding the unveiling of this a while back. I could be wrong though. At any rate, it's a beauty.
I've been told that it's him as well. Napolis is the username. Guess he doesn't live in my town after all!
Yeah it is Jim's 8c... Where did you see it and how did you figure it is the first in the States? And it was unveiled at Miller Motorcars in Greenwich, CT I believe.
Rye train station. It's parked there a lot. Jalopnik even wrote an article about it. http://jalopnik.com/5079513/first-alfa-romeo-8c-competitzione-sold-in-us-parked-at-new-york-train-station The license plate reads 0001 USA, so I assume it's the 1st one. Rye is just a few miles from Miller.
Jim as well as another owner who wishes to remain anonymous picked their 8C's together on the same day at Miller, they are the first two in the US, though Jim's has the VIN to prove it's the first. Gotta love a guy who uses an 8C as a train station commuter car.
+1 I think I saw a thread where Jim mentioned something along the lines of having to drive your cars or they wind up owning you.
actually, that's a quote from the episode of Garage419 where I was discussing putting miles on the P4/5
Great pictures. Looks a lot better in those pictures than some I have seen. I had no idea these were in the US yet.
Saw a red 348 Spider in a NJ harbor parking lot by the statue of liberty ferries and a black Maybach by Rockefeller Center.
That plate used to be on his Maserati. If you ever meet him or talk to him, ask him why he has that plate. It's a great story.
When were they picked up? There's a yellow one out West right now and i saw a red one in person this past weekened here in PA
