Hi, I've read that some owners have installed the Odyssey PC925 to save weight. Has anyone tried the Odyssey PC950, as it seems more powerful and even less weight than the PC925. Thanks
Another one to consider. Before I went to the amazingly light (but expensive) Braille Lithium battery I previous had ran a PC925, it works well if you keep it on a charger all the time but i then wanted to take the car on holidays and not worry if it would start so I eventually settled on a PC1100 (Or Extreme Racing 40) which has much much better specs and wasn't that much heavier. 12.5KG (for the 40) vs 11.8KG.
Specs - Extreme Series Battery Specifications ? ODYSSEY battery I agree with Trev, I had a PC925 and it would run down in 3-4 days if not on a charger.
I also used the 925, 2 years is max life I got, and as stated above - when not in use it need to be kept on a charger.
Just two years and it was on a charger? WOW I thought these batteries were meant to last longer than lead batteries. The Bosch S5 series seem to last for 4-5 years no problems.
My Odyssey PC925 lasted 9 years in my E46 BMW M3. I often had it on a charger which is key. On the F430 I recently purchased a Braille B2015 batter. It's rated more powerful than the PC925 but also costs around $50 more. I have not yet installed it. This Braille battery is quite small in dimensions and I'm still trying to figure out the best way to securely mount it.
