I've run 100 octane in mine, from the Sunoco Race Gas pump here. I didn't notince any difference.

I think 92 octane (modern) is plenty high enough. As long as the car doesn't ping, I'd think you'd be ok. That's whay I run in my car, with 10:1 pistons.

With most octane boosters, you get maybr 1 more point of octane per can, and I don't think that's going to make an appreciable difference.

There have been several discussions about octane and boosters on here. take a look.

I use Octane Supreme 130 by Kemco Industries. You can get a case on the Internet for a good price. You control the octane increase by the amount of OS130 you add to your tank of gas. I am not a mechanic but feel that it helps my 2L. But traditional wisdom (as told to me) is that if the engine does not ping you do not need to worry about it. Nonetheless, I use OS130 and feel that it makes a difference.

Indeed, higher octane fuel is only required to prevent Det/Knocking or pinking, whatever you like to call it. Generally as a rule only boosted engines that are mapped to run on high Octane (generally governed by the countries fuel supply it comes from) need high octane fuel.
Most premium fuels are more than sufficient, but be aware that they also contain cleaning agents that arent always recommended for continual use.
