This is on a 5.2 Motronic. This is the only monitor left not ready. I even have brand new O2 sensors in all 4 locations. Does anyone know how to get this monitor to go Ready?

Is it reading O2 ok? if Yes
Do you have any check engine light or pending codes? If No
You just need to drive it. It may need a few full drive cycles to be good to go from an emissions standpoint.

This one can be tough to get to set.

And in most places you can pass with one emissions monitor not ready, but it can't be the 02 Sensor monitor.

If you've already tried the "normal" drive cycles and this monitor is still being stubborn, one tip I've been told to get the O2 sensor monitor to set is to get the car up to 80 or so and then slam the throttle shut and let it coast down in gear. The longer the coast down the better so a long downhill road helps.

Which, sensor? Bank x, sensor y?

    Codes?

    Possibilities:

    Bad heater

    Wires

    Plug not connected right.

    Defective sensor.

In the end, I reset the two pending codes that were preventing the monitor selftest to begin. Then I drove two complete drive cycles. The last one with 8 miles of 35 mph in 4th gear, and fully idle for 10 minutes, then drive normal for 10 minutes. The monitors were all set. In all, six drive cycles ... damn.
