Unfortunately, Shakespeare did not do much of a job getting the cars restored, allowed the Type 41's block to crack (antifreeze had been around for decades), and so on, as the facility he had them in was worse than an old barn. His collection seems to have been impressive in numbers; but what I got from the article was that he had many other interests and the Bugattis suffered. It also appears that 24 of the cars ended up in the Schlumpf collection in the museum and the other 6 were in the reserve collection, but probably not restored or cared for. Too bad, because Bugattis were different from other cars and deserved better.
