Yah thanks to John for really putting a spectacular event together. Larry, Matt, and Tad: as always much love (especially Tad, that dude is the loveliest). Looking forward to seeing your membership base growing and hitting some more runs (esp AC for the BullRun). Good day and despite the biting wind downtown a wonderful turn out. -N PS Jim is that a kit car Looks good and sounds even better, enjoy it in good health.
John, Awesome work putting this together. The event was a blast and I'm sure the kids loved it. You're probably in bed right now considering how much headache you went through today, but it was all worth it! Looking forward to the # III, and if you ever need anything let me know. I have some videos, but I'll need time to upload them, here are some pictures... that cop looked like he was a di** nice driving today nice meeting you today, love that Lola Ferrarijoe
Naveed...that's no "kit car" my friend. It's a Lola... http://www.lolacars.com/med/usr/1610/T70MK3Bpdf566373.pdf
I know Just joking around. That lola is dropdead gorgeous! What a show stealer and crowd pleaser. I should also add that it was better able to handle the driveway thensome of the other exotics.
NO Joke but this is a serious car and well known. It is 1966 Lola T70 originally raced by Mark Donahue and owned by a young Roger Penske. Great to see it out on the road. http://www.*************/Pics?vpf2=y&gID=1&fID=0&tID=105042&mID=2875509&l=d
It was a pleasure to meet you Joey...... You have no fear of your car{thumbs up} umm, Im not doing the twisties at 110+ with you no more though (hee hee) -Ed
it was more like 140 a Ferrari handles those turns like a champ, I think my passenger almost shi* his pants, those curvy roads were great especially in high speed.
That run was simply awesome. Best one yet. Big thanks to John, Matt and the NYMC crew for putting everything together. The pile of goodies collected for the kiddies was impressive. FDR park was a great meeting place, assuming there aren't picutres of our cars posted all over the "do not admit" list now. Oh, and Joey, looks like you need a few more cylinders.
Yeh more like a total of 12 you know what i mean. Here is a pic of you Simba Image Unavailable, Please Login
good seeing everyone. Didn't seem as packed as last year, but nevertheless a good time. Though i wish i could have had a better spot than squeezing in between 2 poles on a sidewalk, aside from all the cars.
oh (140). that road is very dangerous, not only the twisties, but the drops right after the turns. Not an good feeling when you have a turn in front of you and you feel a slight lift in the rear...
Clyde, as aforementioned (by Joe), you were absolutely missed.. ETA on when you'll be back in the saddle?
Brilliantly organized event... as you looked at these kids faces all you saw was an unforgettable smile that each and everyone of them embraced... absolutely priceless!!! on the drive home, my 14 year old brother and 15 year cousin were praising the whole idea of the event and for these young teens to comprehend the whole anticipated significance of the event, well John, all I can say is, well done mate, well done... was a pleasure meeting you, and most importantly congrats... Congrats to both yesterday's success and to your upcoming Graduation buddy... Waleed
I just found the Rims for my car. A buddy wants to try & repair it for what the insurance settled with me. I'm hoping (maybe dreaming) it'll be going up to Canada F1. Maybe I should get a tow-hook put on....you know...just in case, huh?
