I noticed that they had about 191 vehicles in there inventory, a lot of mercedes especially, with i think 2 SL55 and a lot of 911 turbos...bmws too...i have a relative in houston and i believe he bought a 2001 M3 from them, he said they were very helpful but he did have trouble at the begging since it was his first car, but everything was solved and he was satisfied...

I have been in the showroom looking at a car recently. I had a good impression of the inventory. Prices seem good. Hate to sound like a broken record but get a pre-buyer done on whatever it is your looking at.

I had a pretty lousy experience there shopping for a Boxster. When I called, the salesman tells me it's in mint condition and to come test drive it. So I drive an hour from north Houston and the car is awful, and riding on a spare! The salesman and some Miami Vice guy (claimed to be the GM) proceed to put the full court press on about how they'll make the car right and everything will get fixed if I just buy the car tonight. They called for 2 weeks afterword, sometimes 2-3 a day. I ended up buying from Expo down the road.

Do you think they named their dealership after the group, NXCESS? Or the other way around?

I personally would not deal with them, I knew a few people that worked there and they are very shady...Here is a copy of the BBB report just to give you an idea: keep in mind how many other unsatisfied customers just walked away.

    CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE

Consumers purchasing cars in Texas should first check out the details of the Texas Lemon Law at the following link
    www.123car.com/lemon/lemonbystate.html

In Texas only brand new car purchases are covered by the Lemon Law. Used cars are not covered under the Texas Lemon Law. The car, and all of it's problems, become sole responsibility of the new owner at the time of purchase when a car is purchased "as is".

So it looks like a toss-up so far. I used the "contact us" tab on their website to ask a few questions and they haven't responded yet. This was Sunday.

I bought an M3 from them last year with 5000 miles. I am a pretty detail oriented guy and went over the car with a fine tooth comb. A few weeks after I got the car home and was washing it I noticed that the shine on the air dam was just slightly less than the rest of the car. Within a month or two I noticed some crazing in the paint. Then I removed the air dam/front bumper to find out that not only had it been off the car and repainted but that when it was reinstalled most of the clips were left off and they used some type of epoxy putty to glue it back together. Later study on the car revealed that the front two wheels were replaced with OEM BMW wheels and I was only able to tell that because I took the car back to BMW for a wheel alignment when it was in for service. The service manager (who was personally familar with the car) then told me that the car was a demo that had been driven over a curb that they then wholesaled to NXCESS with the bent wheels and damaged front bumper. He was even able to recall putting the front bumper in the backseat of the car for it to be flatbedded over to NXCESS. NXCESS appparently "fixed" and sold the car. I was a little pissed that they didn't tell me that they knew it had been in a minor accident when I asked. In the end, however, their price on the car was fair, the miami vice guy was kind of entertaining and one new freshly painted bumper didn't set me back too much.

I bought my 2002 Discovery from them. They are definately related to NXCESS. THis is a situation where you have to do your homework seriously. There is a reason their pricing is right. I have a relative in the business, and he deals with them alot, the thing is, they do ALOT lot of deals like the M3 above. They buy things wholesale from dealerships, individuals, etc. There are a number of Repos, turn-ins, and minor damage cars. They generally dont sell junk, that would put them out of business fast, but if youre looking for that truly pristine and unmolested vehicle, I'd go elsewhere. I knew ALL the history on my DIsco, to include getting to know the Bankrupt previous owner. I would do THAT kind of research before I bought there if you arent looking to move the vehicle again.

That being said, I just recieved a TRADE-IN offer that was 3400.00 more than I paid for my vehicle 18 Months ago. I can live with the minor touch ups.

    best of luck

When I was shopping GT3's last summer, they had a really nice looking white 911 pcar. They led me to believe the car was perfect until about the fifth call when I said "look, I'm driving down from dallas and I'm ready to buy but I'm not interested in repaints, damaged cars, etc". He then volunteered the car used to be black but you could never tell. I couldn't believe they didn't volunteer this information in their ebay auction. HUH???? I passed.
