Another Monte Carlo Blue car in Japanese Type S form. The BBS wheels on these cars (not to mention lack of USA reflectors) really set them apart...

The NSX Alex Zanardi Edition reveal at the 1998 Miami International Auto Show. This car is incredibly special in that it is the ONLY left-hand drive “sport” version NSX to ever be sold, period. Type Rs and Type S variants will all eventually be legal for USA import, but they will never be LHD! I am lucky enough to have conveyed the sale of 2 of the 51 Zanardis in existence so far, both at record prices for NSX sales in the USA. Most of the Zanardi owners I know value them even higher than the numbers those cars sold for!

Don Fuller of Motor Trend in their September 1990 first test of the NSX:

“It’s the best sports car the world has ever produced. Any time. Any place. Any price… far better than any Ferrari or Lamborghini ever built; it makes the Corvette ZR1 look like something contrived under a shade tree… We’ve spent over 100 years developing the automobile. After driving the NSX, it’s been worth the wait.”

The Japanese tagline for the original NSX was, “Our dreams come true.” This, of course, is a play off of Honda's "The Power of Dreams" company-wide slogan. I think they nailed it!

Note, Honda Verno was the sales network in Japan through which the NSX was sold. The "Verno" dealerships carried the top-level Hondas, the other two dealer networks with more pedestrian cars being "Primo" and "Clio."

No... Watching winter prices on the 570s. They’re still holding pretty strong. It’s such a different car than the NSX. Much more raw, and those doors. NSX is pretty awesome too. I’ll do something soon, before the cold breaks.

Another one around Suzuka circuit. This is a later NA1 Type R, evidenced by the larger 1994+ optional wheels.

I also traded my R8 (V10 spyder) for the NSX. The jury is still out.....they are such different cars, it is hard to compare the two. I haven't had any quality seat time int he NSX yet, either. I picked it up a couple of weeks ago, and while I've driven it, the weather has been too cold to really push it with the stock tires.

It's my daily driver and it handles the conditions really well. BUT, I do miss the clicking sound when shifting through the gears, but still wouldn't go back.

    Jo sta,

Glad you love the nsx. I don’t miss my i8 at all and performance wise it is better than r8.

You should join the second generation nsx Facebook group. Lots of good people. You can email me at [email protected]

Never had a Facebook, my friend. I occasionally look through the NSX forums but nothing really happens there that interests me. I will shoot you an email though. You should drive out to the Pitt Vingtage Grand Prix this summer. I’ll have 3 cars there believe at least that’s the plan. First class event.
