Went through Intetior, SD, population 94. We went through a town in WY that said population 9. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Slow drive enjoying the view. People! There’s a kid on top of one of the buttes past the cars. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Picnic time. Subway turkey sub, Lay’s chips, and a Canada Dry! Tasty. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Few days of rain and instant green. Beautiful. Saw some buffalo on the drive into the park, then the only wildlife was prairie dogs. Lots of prairie dogs! (No pics, too small.) And here it is... the real reason for the day trip! Wall Drug! The best! It drew some attention, one guy walked by with his wife/gf and said it must be a Ferrari... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I know... tried to dress it up with Lay’s chips and fancy soda. Any points for plates and cloth napkins?
I was so inspired by your recent beefcapades that I had a Midwest Tomahawk steak last evening (sorry, no pics). Try the Stoli Ginger Ale, a big step up from Canada Dry. I did like the plate pattern, so yes points for that.
See if this gets the bar raised some. First course is a cold cucumber, mint, and shrimp soup. Delicious! Pureed cucumbers in a buttermilk base. Sautéed shrimp added as it cooled with vermouth and reduced sauce. Second course was crab cakes... just ok, it is South Dakota. And another tasty Costco wine we hauled across the country. Another cruising back to Rapid. From the east coast amazing this is reasonably over the limit. Big spaces! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Louis Jadot Pouilly-Fuisse was my first “favorite” wine ... great story on that one back in about 1999 in Key Biscayne, FL, when I met my girlfriend at the times dad for the first time - lol Great pics ! MDS
Familiar roads! I went through the badlands back in '99 on a BMW K1200RS. Very beautiful and awesome, but it got up to 105 that day.
Lots of bikes touring around and still amazed at how many riders don’t wear helmets. 75-80 mph bug hits must really sting.
I'm like the Mad Max of touring motorcyclists. Those boots are actually called Combat Touring Boots. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Nice. I grew up with dirt bikes doing crazy things, but my wife told me years ago no street bikes. So that led to Fcars.
Big SUVs out here... last time in Yellowstone and around WY a couple years back the new Suburban/GMC was everywhere. I even bought one then quickly sold it. It was a loaded up 2015 Suburban. The common interior booming and harmonic issue got me. Terrible. Immediately lost money on it and traded it for the Expedition I still have. The Ford is a much better vehicle. My sister traded to a new 2017 Chevy 2500 or 3500 diesel loaded up for her horse rig last year. It had the Chevy Shake and the dealer got her into a 2018 on really good terms. Same thing on the 18. She just dumped it for an F350 SD. She loves it. Weird stuff with Chevy trucks. This time touring around the new Expedition is everywhere. Saw very few new Suburbans. Not sure if the Expeditions are rentals or owned... either way lots of them out here.
We had the same one! Red I think. Odd looking little thing but it ran perfectly. Three speed no clutch?? That led up to various Yamaha’s and eventually a CR250. Crazy bike.
