Hello! I am looking to upgrade my FF exhaust. Two questions for this esteemed group! 1) Novitec vs Kline at less than half the cost. YouTube has a lot of amazing sounding Novitec FF, but only a few with Kline under an overpass. 2) Sound difference between 200 Cell cats of cat delete? I’m looking for fun sound, but also not agitating the neighbors every time I start the car. Thanks for your feedback and any videos/sound clips are most appreciated! Here’s a video of the Kline which isn’t under an overpass. If this doesn’t sell it to you, nothing will. I have no direct experience myself but from what I’ve read, 200 cell cats is the way to go if you wish to avoid being obnoxious.
I have a Kline on my Lusso. 200 cell cats. Was about $10K installed and worth every penny. Can’t speak on the difference vs the Novitec but can’t imagine that’s it’s twice as good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Different car (F8) But I installed the full Kline inconel valvetronic exhaust on my car with 200 cell cats. I’ve been very happy with the build quality, and customer support from Kline. Transformed my car (mostly by getting rid of the GPFs) But I would buy Kline exhaust again. Novitec is good as well, but alway ridiculously priced. I’ve been told by every exhaust manufacturer I contacted during my search, that anything less than 200 cell cats would require tuning.
Thank you! I was wondering about the 200 cell cats, hoping to avoid too much droning. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I’ve had both, current car has Novitec previous one had Kline. They both sound incredible, you won’t be disappointed either way. Even 200 cel cats is very loud with valves open. I have 100 cel with the Novi and it’s a little louder. Straight pipe might be unbearable, haven’t heard one in person. For the money Kline wins. If money is no object get the Novi.
Agree I have 200 cel novi and the car screams like satan when valves are open. When they are closed you have no idea the car has an exhaust, bluetooth conference calls at speed are no issue! I think i also have the novi H pipe fwiw
Ehh well Iseem to be okay with the orignal system, still wakes up my neighbours and starts car alarms in my garage, what more do one need?
The difference is night and day. Worth every penny. Glad someone else spent the pennies for me though before I bought it.
Well, I have heard some complaints about the sound level from my FF, and although I still Love the sound and could easily have some more, my neighbors for sure would not forgive me....
I would always prefer factory OEM, But pleased with the IPE , Tech’s at my Dealership love IPE they’ve installed a bunch..
I really want to put one in, but 5 figure exhausts always find ways for me to justify other expenses first
I have an FF with a standard system which I find loud. I then came across one with the Novtec. At startup and with the valves closed the Novitec is quieter than the standard Ferrari system. With the valves open it's anti social - but that's my opinion as I use my car as a daily and I simply couldn't cope with the volume. I imagine if an FF is not a daily then I could understand wanting to make it sound like an F1 car. I am going try swappind the back boxes on my car for standard Lusso rear silencers to see if makes it more comfortable in traffic. As soon as I can find some at a sensible price. I have a frequency drone I'm still trying to elimiate.
Interesting you brought this up, I was thinking about posting now I've owned the car nearly 7 months. It has remained standard and if I sit in heavy traffic for extended periods it's not great. However I don't notice the "drone" as much as I did when I first got the car. I'm not sure if this is because I've simply got used to it or I have a feeling that one of the valves in one of the back boxes wasn't quite closing fully. Now it's being used regularly it may have kicked it back into operating properly. I've driven 6000 miles in the 7 months I've had it. Learning how to drive it and what gear to be in and when, also reduced the occurance of the "drone". One thing that is obvious and it's something you read constantly on here about all F cars....It has responded to being driven, the car now drives better becuase it's being used almost daily than when I first got it. So the sad obsession with low mileage is more likely causing far more problems with these lovely cars than the ones being used and maintined correctly.
Interesting you're finding the same issue In my car it was very tight rev range, somewhere between 1000-1300 rpm if it sat in there it droned and I'd get a prominent vibration through the armrest (effectively the whole car) So on the whole as long as you keep it above 2000 - 2500 I don't get an issue. It's start stop that I found a problem as the "creep" revs was bang in the middle of drone zone..... Do you find similar or is your ear picking up something different?
I added these to my FF and it has 100% removed the drone. You will need a different size for the stock exhaust, as mine is aftermarket. You will want to install one on each non-valved tail pipe, which were the two outer ones on my setup.
