Hi folks! I’d like to introduce myself in this 456 forum. My name is Ivan, 49 yrs old from Switzerland, with italian roots. So I’m really not sure if my first word was „mamma“ or „Ferrari“. As my thread says, I‘m not new to Ferrari, because I own since 2019 a all black F430 Spider. This was already my dream come true. But what is better than a V8 with F1? Exactly, a manual gated V12. So I started to have a look on the market some month ago and I read a lot about the 456…. first series and M. Finally one month ago there was it, a Blu TdF with Crema interiors and 39k miles. No sticky parts, big motor revision done in december 2022, overall in good shape. So last week I signed the contract and after they will fix the right pop-up headlight it will be ready for handing over. Why a 456? The F430 is aggressive, loud, and even in black very conspicuos. A Ferrari as it should be. But for an elegant trip with family in a beauty with the classic Ferrari DNA, well, then the 456M GT is perfect to me. And besides maybe a good investment too. But no worries, I drive my cars, they are not just standing in the garage. Now I‘m happy to be part of this community. Here some pics. Happy Easter!
Congratulations @canivan74 .. I thought that might have been the one Frank had. At one point he had one in tdf and two in pozzi blue and I have a photo of the 512TR I bought from him and had painted pozzi blue with those 3 surrounding it. Say hi from Greg when you pick it up!
I assume it's the only one, Frank's paint shop painted it. I did look at one that was factory blu scuro 510 which was a very similar Glasurit color (pozzi is PPG; they switched paint suppliers in the late 90s) but that car was trashed as @turbo-joe will attest.. Those 3 456s and the 512TR also all in crema leather. I have a blu tdf/crema 550 as well. Enjoy the 456, great color combination!
Congratulations on your new car. Similar to mine which is Swatters Blu and crema. We have a Eurotrip coming up next month. We’re lucky enough to have 3 V12s. 456GT, FF and DB9. I asked my wife to sit in each one over last weekend to decide which car she’d like to take. She chose the 456 as she loves the amazing visibility that it offers. She drives a RR Velar and the windows and rear screen are tiny in comparison to the glass on an older car like the 456. I’m pleased that she chose the 456 as we have done these trips in this car before, and I have a fear of becoming stranded by a sensor failing in the newer cars, which can lock these cars into limp mode. There is something much more simple about the 456 which is comforting when you have 3,000 miles to cover in 3 weeks.
BTW,, i had a 456GT manual but in green,, which i didn;t really care for,, around the same time , a Blue/ tan 456 was for sale, and because of the color it was about 25 K higher asking price I ended up with the green car, because it was a solid sorted out car, not as pretty , but solid

Congrats pal! I, too am a recent TdF 456MGT owner. It's my 7th Ferrari and loving every minute of driving it. It's not the fastest nor the flashiest...but it's exactly how I like it as I get older.
Today I made some upgrades…. BMC Airfilter and a Becker Ferrari Radio. It’s not the original radio that belongs to the 456M, but anyway better than the ugly Blaupunkt Lausanne of my pre-owner. Image Unavailable, Please Login
