    a display car is like a glorified kid's lego toy, as I understand it. it is practically a toy and cannot be modified to be used on track. Thus it is only worth its aesthetic value

    It is distinctly different from a real car with drive train and brakes removed.
    A real f1 chassis, if from a small team, is worth anywhere from 30,000 to 200,000 usd , as I have browsing and searching in the past few years.
    a chassis from a big team such as ferrari will fetch millions, even more if it won races or raced by notable racers such as Mr. Hill or Mr. Schumacher

    Yep, if I ever win the lotto I'd love a simulator built round the shell of a car...very cool!

    I remember when they trotted these cars out originally and had them on display for
    the big announcement in Boston and it was just like, "Oh, brother...".

    It will probably end up as a movie prop or in a museum.

    Yes! A proper high end home simulator with that at the center... have a proper racing seat molded... I just need to win that lottery I’ve been meaning to win for years.
