Love how this is turning out for the Ferrari loser. Karl I would try & see if this car goes to another repair shop so you can clue them in on this loser.

Keep up the fight for your money. My wife was without a usable kitchen for over a year while we disputed a bad renovation & finally settled out of court. We came really close to giving up & taking the loss while it was going on. Looking back on it now I'M GLAD I DIDN'T LET THE SOB GET AWAY WITH IT.

Hang in there Karl. Good things happen to good people.

Thanks guys. I think that car is going to the big repairshop in the sky.
Yes, I also came close to giving up/in but I am glad I didn't. I am still worried about the outcome of course but keep thinking once the judge has everything in frt. of him there is no way that should happen.

    I'll keep you updated.

    Thanks
    Karl

This is an internet gem. Unbelievable, I was glued to my chair reading it.

Ferrari's, attorneys, high speed accidents, court, good guys, bad guys. This could be a made for tv movie. Maybe a novel. Not to trivialize the OP's predicament at all, this is riveting stuff.

REALLY hoping court date works out in Karl's favor.

Agreed. Hope this guy gets what he deserves. Sounds like the same breed of person that I had been dealing with that owns a valet company (with a fake business card) that ran my 328 into a wall last May (still unresolved, but that's another story).

While reseaching Karl Troy for a potential PPI I came across this fascinating thread. As someone else said this is the stuff of great movies... honesty, greed, money, fast cars, disaster, slimy characters, good and evil,...all that is missing are the babes!
After reading this I know I will get the most honest PPI from Karl. I hope he finds little wrong with my future F355 but if he does there is no one better or more trustworthy to do the work. Thanks for sharing your story Karl and keep us updated.

Well my friends. It's over. The 2 atty s got together and discussed the options. My attorney suggested that I agree to a $ amount somewhat less than the bill instead of wasting $$$ for atty fees not knowing how long it may drag out since he's countersueing me. By me agreeing to that I'll get most of my $$ now and my atty will not charge for what he has done so far. I took the deal.

As I have said many times, I can't thank all of my friends and supporters enough for the outpouring of support and encouragement. I am honored to be part of this wonderful and intelligent group of people.

Kind of fitting that he's now having to shell out the $$ for a car that is no longer. Just a pinch of salt for his wound. What a shmuck!

Thanks to all. I did actually contact his ins. co. to see if I could buy the wreck from them. They said they no longer insure cars like that. Wonder why?
