Great to see everyone. Nice to meet Carlos...I enjoyed seeing his 355 fill my mirrors all the way back to Boxford. These pictures hereby certify we made it to Dec. 17th in Massachusetts! Let's see if this goes another week. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Greg, You beat me to posting pics!!! DAMN!! Oh well... Great seeing you guys for a few minutes. I just remembered this morning why I stopped bringing my daughter last year. But she really wanted to go with me in "The Red Ferrari" which is her favorite car. (Hey, she has taste). If I said no, she would have pulled a fit. Anyway, I got some brownie points with Christine for getting her out of the house for a few hours. We struck out on the cookie cutters afterwards at S&S but Rich told me about a kitchen place nearby. We went there afterwards. They didn't have any either, but they sent me to a hardware store (!!) that actually HAD them. So we came home heroes, and I didn't have to go to Wal-Mart. As we were getting out of the car at the hardware store, a lady got out of her Beemer and commented..."There's something you don't see every day--a Ferrari with sippy cups!" Pretty funny. Now back to bleed the brakes again... Birdman
OK! Christmas weekend - How many of us can pull that off? Maybe Carlos - he sometimes works on Sunday keeping military jets in the air and has a built in excuse. OK - double dog dare anyone to make it on Sunday, the 24th, weather permitting. By the way, roll call today was Greg, 348 Serie Speciale; Carlos, 355; Birdman, 308; and yours truly - talk about die-hards. Was really hoping the Frenchman would show up with his 348 Spyder and top down. See you all next week?
Here's the gang, excluding me taking the pic! L-->R Carlos, Rich and Greg. And one of Elise doing her Vanna White impersonation with the wheel. Unfortunately you can't see the red brake calipers.....so that's the next pic. Birdman Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Those calipers came out really nice. The red stands out very nice. And what a cute little girl. Is she a model??
Birdman, those are mighty sharp calipers and those wheels look perfect! May make Sunday if the weather holds. Drove the 348 Monday before the rain!
Thanks guys! Elise thinks she's a supermodel, that's for sure. I just hope she doesn't develop any anorexia to go with it. The calipers came out very nice. You can't really see them there. The openings in the QV wheels are small enough that the wheel has to be aligned just right to really see the calipers. Nonetheless, in sunlight, I was pleasantly surprised at what a nice difference the caliper paint makes. It adds just a little something. Wait until I get the Ferrari logo on there!! Birdman
OK, I re-started this thread with the idea I would show up at least once and now the year is almost over and I never made it to Beverly with either Ferrari. Ah well, Merry Christmas everyone, hope to C/4 you in '07!
If your all meeting on Sunday and the weather is nice I might drive up from Mansfield. Please let me know. Tim
My Maranello is still on the road. What time do you guys meet and for how long ? Does any bring anti freeze for the coffee ? I have a gallon of Sambuca to prevent freeze-up !!!
is there a plan for a christmas eve get together? i would definately make it. every week i keep telling myself ill make it down. now that the year is over, i feel obligated to come if there is a meeting. cheers John
Sambuca?? I didn't know it was going to be one of "those" get togethers. Dang that Sunday yard work! It's killing me. Killing me i tell ya!
Aahhh - Criistmas Eve , not exactly - More like 9:30 AM than 9:30 PM. >Like Greg said - bring your sunscren
I'd love to be there, but too many gifts to wrap! Looks like the weather will be OK though. Have fun!! Birdman
Planning on being there. Refuse to miss a 50 degree day on Dec 24th in the northeast! Even if I'm the only one there I will enjoy it. Happy Holidays to all.
It was nice for me to finally make the drive up to Beverly and meet many of you. Nice friendly bunch of guys. I would like wish everyone Happy Holiday's and a Great New Year.
I'm sure glad Al Gore invented global warming *and* this interweb thing or we would have never been able to meet up on Christmas eve. Nice to meet you too Tim. Merry Christmas and happy new year! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
