They are. 8 in a row....and I would say they are a playoff dark horse however the cat is out of the bag.
Honestly they better get their heads out of their rumps. The last week of the season is on the road and a killer. They are not the same team without Mark Stone. Hopefully he returns the last week.
I don't believe in luck. I believe in skills. You make your own luck. Superstitions are for the dark ages.
Unlucky? I don't believe in luck unless you make your own "luck" (aka good fortune) through talent, skill, intellect and personal determination. Unluckiness is an excuse for losers. You either play well or you don't. If you play well, most likely you will win. If you play poorly, most likely you will lose. Luck and superstition have no effect at all. Can you imagine how much money the NHL would lose if they cut all live audiences from the Stanley Cup playoffs?????????
Golden Knights lose number 1 and number 2 leading scorers -- Max Pacirretty week to week as is Mark Stone. https://www.nhl.com/news/golden-knights-max-pacioretty-injury-status/c-316134466
My guess is they have to. If there is just ONE CASE that relates to them holding a game they will be crucified. They cannot delay 2-3 months and come back. The year without the Stanley Cup....
I was fine with the NBA, college basketball and MLB, but this sucks big time. And the Bruins are/were in first place! I had a salesman fly in from San Diego today with his son. He was originally from Boston and wanted to take his son to a Bruins game, so I gave him my tickets to Saturday's game against Toronto. An hour later, while we were eating lunch, they suspended the season. Bummer.
Jay, Mike, Bob and others...how do you see this playing out IF there is some sort of resumption to the season? Do they just jump into the playoffs based on standings when season was halted? Do they try to complete full 82 game schedule, but reduce number of games in each round of playoffs (best of 3, e.g.) Or does everyone just work on their golf game? A resumption would require massive scheduling changes, and they'd need some kind of ramp up/ training time. A wild option would be to take the top point getter (Boston and St. Louis a rematch that would have some appeal) in the East and West and have them play a 7 game final for the Cup. My guess is we've seen our last game this year.
This all depends and is incredibly fluid. The league has a plan for each week that passes so it really depends on the timeframe. My guess would be a month then straight into a playoff format that sees a reduction in the amount of starting teams. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
