No way. Bill is now the GM as well as the head coach. It's been rumored, and now media people Mike Meltzer I posted above, that Hop and Bill have been at odds for a long time. Bill is known to not be liked in the building and he is ill-tempered. He wants total control.

With Watson as the QB, there is no excuse for this move. And money can't be about it because they keep giving up draft picks and spending money to make trades. Including taking on the rest of the new RB's salary. It's unacceptable for Cal to allow this crap to continue.

Holy moley! That's crazy. If I were you, I would have some medication on hand for when Will Fuller gets his annual injury and misses hames.

Uh yeah. I'm sorry but if BOB has a problem with Hop, then BOB should be the one to go.

Damn, couldn't O'B cut his old team some slack and trade Hopkins to us! I wonder if Belichick even knew about it.

The McNair family has the Texans exactly where they want them. Get in the playoffs, but don't go too far. Bud Adams had that formula perfected.

The NFL owners, to their dismay, finally decided that the nation was larger than them.

"After a weekend of resort closures and event cancellations, the biggest sports convention in Las Vegas history threw in the towel Monday.
The NFL has canceled plans to hold its draft in Las Vegas this year because of concerns over the spread of coronavirus. "

Roger saw the foremost priority was making more billions for the billionaires, but unfortunately reality got in the way.

“This decision reflects our foremost priority — the health and safety of all fans and citizens,” NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said in a statement.

I'd like to start a go fund me page for the owners, but unfortunately I am sheltered in place. :D:D:D:D:D

What is the motivation to get into the playoffs, but not deeply?

Case Keenum goes to Cleveland to back up Stude E. Baker. Cleveland . . . . where QBs go to die.

Deep enough to make a little more money on some additional games and keep the fans happy. But not too deep where you have to pay the players more.

Or maybe he's crazy like a fox?!? If Baker replicates his 2019 & starts slow, you think they don't replace him with Case early in the season?

Interesting hypothesis. I would guess that these days players don't really care if they go deep in the playoffs. Just more chances for concussion and CTE. I think the top guys can get endorsement $$$ without being on a champ. Unless they have serious postseason contract incentives, they're already making major coin. Maybe a few elite QBs, because Super Bowl wins are part of their legacy, if they want to be considered among the greats?

From the perspective of the owners, however, you may be right.

Hopkins under contract until 2022 at a reasonable - given his talent level - tally of about $13 - $14 M. He can get out of his contract after 2020 though. This is a head scratcher. Would love to know what DW thinks about this trade...T

Bud Adams was the master of milking the cash cow. The McNair family has learned well. I’ve seen the books of a couple major sports franchises. Un****ing believable. Trust me, there is a reason billionaires line up to buy these franchises. They are not a hobby.

seriously, I'm genuinely shocked Brady made this decision. I don't see him going anywhere else and being there long enough to have success (any team that doesn't need to be rebuilt already has a starting QB)

will be interesting to see if Bill retires and the team goes through a full reset.

Van Noy signed a big deal with the Fins yesterday.
