This Cee Dee guy is going to be trouble. Eagles mystifying their fans
McCarthy has to be laughing his ass off. Mike got canned because he was about to bench Rodgers for not following instructions. Mark Murphy couldn't handle that and sent Mike packing..... Now? Well...... Maybe Mike was right. A bit hilarious in that Green Bay is the home to the Dallas Cowboy's and Green Bay Packer's Head coaches.
not one 2020 draft choice has played one NFL snap and Eagles fans are lining up on the Ben Franklin Bridge
A lot of people touting Chase Young as a can't-miss uber stud. With Trent saga behind them, if Skins can stay healthy, that'll be an interesting D...T
Packers have not had a decent back-up since Matt Flynn. Needed to do something. There was some rumor of Winston coming here as #2. But neither ego couldn't handle that. If you recall, the Packers had Taysum Hill and cut him on final cut day. Packers liked him and wanted to use him like the Saints are now....Rodgers balked at that. Rodgers won't be happy of course. But he has grown into quite the diva. McCarthy was tired of it. Lafluer sees it as well and they did something about it Friday. Truth is Rodgers performance since the last collarbone break has not been very good. Stir in the Danica Patrick mentality and nothing good is on the horizon. Had to be done. Not sure it is the right guy, but it is a start. Your coach lives around the corner from me
Fab idea! Watson - pretty please. It'll be a good excuse to smooth things over. Don't forget, step 9, make amends! Why?!? What have Cowboys done to you?!? It's not like they've been rude enough to beat the Pack in a playoff game. Well, except for the Dez Bryant "catch, no catch" game & you see how that turned out! T
It's weird. I have exactly zero autographs of Packers and I see them a lot. My neighborhood is a mecca for these guys. It is a bit of an unwritten rule here. Don't bother them. It is not unusual to go out to dinner, grocery shopping, gas station, etc and see a team member. My wife is 5' nothing and was trying to get something off the top shelf at the grocery store. Donald Driver reached over and helped out. He lived two blocks over. We used to see Charles Woodson pretty regular at The Chop House. Kevin Green's hangout with his kids was Sammy's Pizza. Clay Mathews lived next door to my doctor friend....much to his dismay. Apparently loud at times. Ted Thompson's place was 10 house down from my parents. 10 houses the other way was Mike Holgrem's old house. Randall Cobb lived in a condo next to my secretary for two years before he signed his big contract. Just happens around here. Mark Murphy is dumb as a box of rocks. Sadly I have had the opportunity to meet him several times and he confirms it every time. Mike got screwed in all of this by Mark. I am, gasp, kinda pulling for the Cowboys this year. Mike is one of the good guys out there and the Cowboys have a great coach.
Cool. Own any of their stock? Actually, the only sigs I have collected, I collected for my former secretary. She's a much bigger Boys fan than I am. If any of the 70s - 90s Cowboys are signing, my wife and I will try to get there. T
Gee, since you asked, here is what I am thinking: When Rodgers' contract is up, so is he. I don't see him continuing on after that. I think Danica has something to do with that, she is on the edge of having kids age-wise (just turned 38), but who knows? Think of all the guys retiring in their prime lately, and I think he will, too. Actually, I think he told GB to find a QB for the future, I am just not so sure Jordon Love is it, I can think of other positions they REALLY needed help on, they don't have a TE, have not had one for two years.
Barring a complete failure by Love, Rodgers is on a two year window now. Probably get traded just like Favre. As a huge fan of CART / Indy car, Danica was a complete PITA. Complained about not having resources, every mistake was someone else's fault. Pretty much thought her **** didn't stink. She was a cancer. Crashed and killed Dan Weldon and now Indy Cars have fenders. Played that way in NASCAR too. Lots of of happy drivers the day she walked. Same story brewing with her boyfriend Rodgers now. Rodgers certainly did NOT tell the Packers to draft a QB. I assure you of that. The last good tight end the Packers had was Cook....and they let him walk. oooops. At least it will be entertaining this summer.
I figured SOMEONE would go off the wheels about Danica... I will stand by my comment with a slight change: I think Aaron said or implied that he was done in a couple of years. And you think Jared Cook was a good TE? His statistics in GB prove you wrong, 377 yards and ONE TD. If he was that good he would not be on his 5th different team in 12 years, he drops a TON of balls.

Tom C. As a indication of how bored sportswriters are these days, a long article in Philly about how Cowboys replaced Eagles as 2020 Division favorites due to draft. As Whitey Ashburn would have said: "Oh, Brother!"
It is just unbelievable here Keith. We have two full time sports talk radio station plus sportswriters for two major newspapers. The opinions on the Patriots draft range from pretty good (no one thinks it was excellent) to we're all going to hell. Many are pointing to draft grades given by the national, ahem, "experts". What I'd like to know is what grade do these "experts" get on how good their grades turn out to be. Add to that the people who call in after who knows how many beers or cocktails!
Keith...Iggs drafted a QB (Jalen Hurts out of OU) in round 2. Any thoughts on this in the City of Brotherly Love? Insurance for an oft- injured Wentz? Maybe they're looking to opt out of his contract after 2021? T
Richie Ashburn. There's a name that always puts a smile on my face! Great guy, too nice to have to suffer being on the '62 Mets! I think if Haskins can progress, and their offensive players can stay healthy, I think the Skins look good too IMO in the NFC East. Should be fun year, if it ever comes to pass. T
I read some of the "quick snap" draft grades on NFL.com, and then their justification for why they are valuable. I haven't been that confused since the last time my wife explained to me why we need 100 rolls of TP "just in case"! T
If I was going to draft a guy, here is how I would scout him: 1) Opposing coaches. 2) Former teammates - usually ones that played with him but have already graduated - and DO NOT play in the NFL. 3) Current underclassman teammates - ones that won't get to the NFL (you know it, but they don't) 4) People that knew the guy in HS - NOT athletes. I attended a large University - I knew a ton of guys that played football that lived in my dorm, and I also photographed games for 10 years after I graduated - I was well-connected to the team. Every guy that was drafted by the NFL over a 12 year span - I predicted if they would 'make it' or not, and I was correct 95% of the time. Character and brains are more important than muscles. To ME, it's all about getting unbiased opinions from people that are around these guys. An investigation was conducted for a month on the football team - alleged drug use and dealing. In the end, they found nothing. But I knew - I knew they didn't talk to certain people, if they had, whoa nelly.... I knew exactly who was dealing because I saw it first-hand... Haskins has shown NOTHING to signal he will be a great QB in the NFL -er- in Washington. Usually you see 'something', I have not seen it.
