1000 ways to bet on the Super Bowl https://www.reviewjournal.com/sports/betting/william-hill-posts-over-1000-ways-to-bet-on-super-bowl-liv-1942056/
Looks like many of the analysts are not giving the 49ers a chance. They keep saying they are leaning to the better QB. Mahomes is no doubt the best in the league (I would take him over Lamar Jackson and anyone else) but my response would be that it's a team game and: -Rodgers is better, SF beat them twice -Brees is better, SF beat them -Wilson arguably better, they went 1-1 -Cousins arguably better, they beat them Superbowls: -Brady better than Eli, Giants beat them twice -Peyton Manning better than Russell Wilson, Seahawks beat them -Jim Kelly better than Jeff Hostetler, Giants beat them
I'll disagree, Mahomes is better than all of those guys. I'll only put him and Wilson on the same level. Wilson plays pretty damn consistently. I know, I know, statistics, but Rodgers has just never been this truly amazing qb. After reading something yesterday about Aaron's family having some issue with some comments he made about his faith and his family blasted him for his opinion. There may be a reason he is the way he is, and his family is a bit nuts.
Jason, I think you misunderstood what I was saying. My point was that the team with the better QB doesn't always win.
Anybody was better than Trent Dilfer and he win a Super Bowl! That's pretty superficial analysis IMO. If KC starts slow like they did in the previous two games, they're cooked. If they don't stop Mostert, they lose. I can think of lots of scenarios where SF takes home the Lombardi. I am getting my hopes up for a great game. To my recollection, neither team has many guys who've been on this stage before (Richard Shrman,????). It could easily turn on who delivers in crunch time and who folds...T
Understood. You think Patrick Mahomes is better than Brady, Peyton Manning, Brees? I won't mention Rodgers cause you already stated he is not the QB hyped up to be
Great post Tom. And actually the analysts said the same thing you did, where they cannot afford to start off against SF the way they did HOU and TEN. I will say the same about SF too, if they fall in a hole they are done, that KC offense is deadly. It will come down to if SF's defense outplays KC's offense (thank you captain obvious LOL :) , and Jimmy not losing this for the 49ers. I have no doubt Mahomes will show up to play. If SF running game is on, that will take it out of Jimmy's hands and keep Mahomes on the bench. SF will lose if it's a shootout, Jimmy will run out of bullets and won't be able to outgun the amazing Patrick Mahomes
Do you guys mean to tell me that Tom Brady and the Patriots are not in the Super Bowl??????? What the .......
Currently, yes. Time will tell what the future holds. Apparently he had a total of 17 TD's and Zero interceptions in his 4 playoff appearances.
I think Mahomes is the best now, talent wise. With Jackson, I always have RG3 in the back of my mind. You worry he's going to run into an equally fast edge rusher and whammo...T
If SF gets off to a fast start, KC will have its work cut out but as we have seen this year and last, they can come back. If KC gets off to a fast start, SF is in deep trouble. They won't be able to run and have to depend on Jimmy G (not a sure thing). If the game is close late in the 4th quarter, advantage to KC and Mahomes (who else would you want except for maybe Brady).
I disgree - he is an amazing QB - WHEN he has several GREAT receivers, a GREAT running game, a GREAT defense... (and you can say that about almost ANY QB!!) Mostert? How do you know they don't swap to Coleman? (look who they used against Minn) Kyle usually goes with who is hot, though... KC has Andy Reid, who coached in one SB as head coach. I said the same thing a few posts back: Michael Vick, Robert Griffin, Cam Newton... This game will come down to turnovers, and ref'ing, probably the latter. It SHOULD be a helluva game.
Damn, you are right, I didn't notice that. Shoulder injury of some kind... And they say Matt Breida fumbles too much....
On paper, the one advantage I see is to San Francisco's running game. If Mostert runs like he did in the NFC game, they would seem to have an edge. But considering that KC basically made Derrick Henry inconsequential in the AFC game, if they can do the same to SF's running game, they should win.
I think that's a good point, but may be a little trickier in that SF can rely on Coleman (assuming he's 100%), Mostert and/or Breida. Individually, neither is as talented Henry, at this stage, but the mix of all three is tough. I do think that KC will make Jimmy G beat them...T
But SF has a bit better defense than Tenn, especially in the interior line. This is one of those rare games in that it can go in sooooo many directions.
