When you buy things on the cheap, you tend not to get all the original parts. But this thing being German, a quick email to the classic center in CA, and Mercedes is going to send me a new original key.

Wonder if Ferrari's Classiche will get to this level of support?

    Texas!
Wayne, all the cars in these pics have the Euro bumpers, yes?

Does anybody know how hard it is to swap out the US for the Euro ones? Call me petty, but I just can't get past those ugly lips on the US cars.

Yes, and I agree that the US bumpers are hideous. Euro cool vs US grotesque:

I'm going with the Euro bumpers, going to also add the later spoiler.

Back on the fence, debating just keeping it original.

The world doesn't need another modified Silver Benz...

This will be a great car, but then I have always admired your taste in things automotive. And similarly, think keeping as original euro as possible would be cool. Have been shopping original Becker and Blaupunkt radios for the CSi, and there is an entire support system for these old radios if you decide to go this way, and not very expensive.

Look forward to seeing her in person one day!

Thanks Russ, but this is an original US spec car, likely going to stick with the ugly bumpers for now. Problem that I am running into is that almost all of the trim is NLA in green, so we're likely going to slowly convert it over to black. Engine is completely rebuilt, most of the aluminum trim has been polished, likely will start reassembling it towards the end of the month, let me know the next time you're in the area to visit family.

I do like the sl in any of their editions. I do vote for the euro lights, though.

Looking forward to getting your 365 GT4 next to the
    comparatively tiny CSi
