Congrats, IMHO still the best looking of all the SL Cars. This generation is a true classic.

We'll see how good the lump is when it gets to the shop. If it is bad, I was thinking 5.0 V8 with some AMG bits.

I agree. What do you guys think about the colors? Interior is green leather.

Awesome. Keep the green leather and go with black or dark grey paint.

The one on the right also has green interior, is that the dark grey that you were referring to?

I think the colors are growing on me. Don't want to add another red or silver Mercedes to the landscape...

Showed a picture to my wife (didn't tell her it was her's). She did not like the colors. Likely going to go triple black based on her feedback.

    No, like this:

By far, my favorite color on these cars is this green (I spent a long time looking for an SLC in this color), but it looks best with the tan interior.

Here's a nice green that, in my opinion, would look great with a dark green interior:

If it was going to be mine, I would choose dark silver with oxblood interior. I may do that anyway. Still have a long time before I have to make a decision.

    Congrats Judge.

I've had my eye on R107 for a while but lack of space has stopped me picking one up. Prices for a good one are starting to get silly here.

Good to see some old Benz enthusiasts here. Earlier this summer, I sold a water-cooled 911 daily driver and replaced it with a 280SE 4.5. The fuel mileage is a little much but it's a great highway cruiser. Indeed a barge, but still fun to drive with loads of character.

    Good luck with SL!

This one was not silly priced, but I also noticed that they were starting to creep up. Thinking of picking up a Range Rover County LWB too as those seem also to be going up on the continent.
