I always wonder why shows in NYC dont get the debuts and hoopla that say, the detroit show does.

Talk about lighting a fire, went to the NYC Auto Show as a 9-12 year old in the 70s with my parents and couldn't wait wait to see a red Ferrari in person, when I got there the had 308s side by side, of course roped off. A closer look revealed a Grigio 308 with red interior, I was mesmerized with cars design and at the color combination. Never forgot that, which explains me ending up with a convertible Maserati GT in that combo and ultimately with my current 430. Who says car shows don't result in future sales ?

Could it be that the photo on top is the exact 308 in question?! If not, it's quite close. 1983 would be the year of that show as it's an early QV. I have a few other photos from that time period.
