John, I wanted to say you are doing a great job. FCRA, its a huge success. You should be proud. My two cents, I have told you this in person. Stay away from FCA, keep doing what you are doing. As this racing series grows in popularity more opportunity will open up. It already has. I can't wait to see next years schedule.
Will I think Thursday is a wide open track day. I'll post a schedule when I receive it. It's expensive $500, but we will get a lot of track time on the 22 turn course. I was seriously considering not telling you and Jerome so I could get the edge but I can't seem to keep my mouth shut. Lol We will also have catering for all FCRA drivers each day. BTW Greg, the teams want you to come. It's boring watching Rob win every race. Classic or Universal will work something out for u to come since Speedworks cant
"I was seriously considering not telling you and Jerome so I could get the edge but I can't seem to keep my mouth shut." Jerome and I have the track all day Weds, forgot to tell you, sorry! Rain expected Thurs. Good luck, bro.
Oh please! Rob you are fast!!! You drive the wheels off that 355. John, Thank you for your help, but I will not be able to attend the Monticello event. I am also not going to Watkins Glenn. It's my personal protest against FCA! I am signing up for Homestead. Have fun at monticello and be safe. Cheers
FCRA Saturday September 3rd dinner has been moved to LAVO www.lavony.com, 39 East 58th Street, New York, NY 10022-1617 (Telephone: (212) 750-5588) 8:30pm. LAVO seemed more appropriate to preempt and celebrate the success of FCRA as a dinner venue considering the ambiance suits the occasion best. I apologize for this late notice. My Regards, Anurag Dandiya
Jim, they have moved everything up an hour. Practice 9:30, qualifying 10:30, and race 11:30 so we're all done by lunch.
Great seeing all of you! Wonderfully run event and really good racing. Super day and Meg and I had a great time.
Saw this on the MMC site: how cool is that! I wish i had taken a ride down. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Rob, It was a blast! Great shot. I looked on MMC website...couldn't find that pic or others. Would you be kind enough to point me in the right direction? Thanks!
Gents, I uploaded all of the photos taken from the FCRA event at Monticello Motor Club. You'll find thumbnails and original file sizes for download. It a great track over 4 miles many elevation changes great turns very long straight and it's a great club. There's also a new off road course that we're going to run the Baja Boot on. Image Unavailable, Please Login
It looks like a great track, of which there can never be too many. Gotta have someplace to exercise the ponies. Dale
Dale, my favorite tracks are big and fast - the Glen, Mosport, Atlanta, Sebring and a few others. Monticello is tighter and more technical than those tracks. If I were any good at all, I might love the technical tracks (hey I like Mid Ohio and Laguna Seca). But I prefer to be scared once a lap or so. Monticello is a beautiful facility, the track staff were wonderful to us, the clubhouse was a treat, and the track is challenging, better than any of the other newer US tracks I've driven. We were very fortunate to have been allowed to race at Monticello. If you ever have the opportunity, you have to go. I can't guaranty you'll have P4/5 as your pace car .....
