    Well I've finally bought the car I've dreamed of for 15 years! I've been a Corvette guy for 25 years so a big shout out to GM for failing to sort C8Z06 production and making it so heavy I immediately lost interest in buying one after I had the chance to track a friend's..

    Started my 458 search about 6 months ago and completely lucked into finding one that was originally spec'd literally exactly as I would have done it had I been able to buy it new back in the day. Well, except it doesn't have backup camera. But it does have carbon seats, cruise control, front lift and my favorite color combo of red exterior / tan interior and yellow calipers. And it has all the carbon options for the interior. And it was in my price range!

    Busy learning about the car and on the hunt for workshop manuals. enjoyed it 200 miles of backroads driving thus far. this site has been a great resource already! hopefully before long I can start contributing knowledge as well.

    I plan to track the car (HPDE) as well as rallies and cruises.

    Great looking car. Congrats and hope it brings joy to your life. Just curious what color it is. Hard to say if it’s Corsa in dark lighting or mugello or Fiorano or one of the other hundreds of F reds. It’s beautiful whatever it is.

    Dreams still come true. Exterior color looks good. My 15 is white. Wish you a pleasant ownership. 458 is the last/ designed by Pininfarina/ interior by Schumaker /last non turbo 8 cylinders/ 9 thousand red line, of the 6 Ferrari cars that I owned this is the only one that I haven't messed with the exhaust except adding a Capristo valve modulator. Wonderful sound even stock. This will be a keeper. Good luck!

    IMO the 458 is better on a track, just be a bit careful…..no safety features in any of these street cars. Opinion again, but I’d rather have a 458 all day.
