West LA Drive/Lunch location

  1. Make it Duke's Malibu Every time! I'm feeling that Aloha spirit!

  2. Life's too short. Let's mix it up but keep a drive in Malibu!

  3. Drive? Who has time for that? Let's get back to a lunch spot in West LA!

    Plan to meet at the restaurant at 1:15 pm OR meet us for the 'unofficial" group drive starting in Brentwood on San Vicente Boulevard west of Gretna Green (2 blocks west of Bundy) at 12:30 for a drive up the coast together.

    If you are not driving up with the group, there should be several reserved parking spots being saved for us. Let them know that you are with the Ferrari lunch group.

    I'm looking forward to seeing the F40 there!

    Had another good lunch today with beautiful Southern California Fall weather and a nice Malibu drive. Always a good group of people, good food and conversation. Other than the local power outage in the area, Cafe Habana turned out to be a good location with nice seating, good food and easy parking which they reserved for us. This location will definitely be in the rotation for us again.

    We had a wide variety of cars today. Topping the list was an F40. We also had an FF, 458, 360, F355 and a Lambo Gallardo. Great to see and hear an F40 on the road!

    Looks like a great meet! I've been on the road the last 9 weeks so missed this one because I was in Santa Barbara. I'll try to make the next one!

    November 20th is the next one. Location is in the works. We have had a few suggestions that are being looked into. Due to the time change and LA traffic on Fridays, we are going to try moving the meet up one hour earlier to 11:30 with lunch around 12:00. Hopefully that works with everyone's schedule.

    OK all. December tends to be busy for everyone so its time for the last group lunch of the year. This month we are planing on Casa Escobar in Malibu. Good parking and good Mexican food. I understand that the margaritas are good too.

    Nice seeing the group. Beautiful day to be out and nice atmosphere at theCafe Escobar.
    The earlier time slot was great. Taking Sunset east was a lot better for the drive back.

    Great seeing everyone, fun lunch.

    I also enjoyed the earlier time. With less traffic on the way back, I hit some good luck and actually had a stretch heading up Topanga from PCH with about a dozen turns & no cars in sight. Nice way to wrap up.

    The great thing about winters in Southern California - If its not raining, we usually have a clear day. Great for a drive up the coast!

    Time to kick of the West LA lunch group for 2016. The date is January 29th and most seemed to think that the earlier time worked better traffic wise. So let's plan for an 11:30 meet up in Brentwood for a drive or 12:00 at the restaurant. We haven't done Dukes for several months so I ma suggesting the we start the year off there.

    Duke's Malibu January 29th @ 12:00. Who's going?
