I finally decided to pull the trigger and order a Roma. Originally planned on F8 but dealer told me as a daily driver Roma would be much more enjoyable.

What are considered must have options on the Roma? I assume these are typically spec’ed a little differently than the F8s given their slightly different target use?

Also does anyone have an updated options price list for USA?

Based on the online configurator I really liked the Grigio Alloy. But I haven’t seen it in real life.
Either that or Rosso Dino also looked good online.

I am not sure, thats why I only sent the photo. Maranello Sales in Egham posted this photo with the caption. "Bespoke. Distinctive. Exclusive; a Tailor Made Ispirazioni Vintage Rose Ferrari Roma. La Nuova Dolce Vita"

Cant believe I am suggesting a shade of pink but I think that shade just really works on the Roma. I also agree with Rosso Dino.

Another great color in my opinion would be Grigio Ingrid.

I’m sure they do. I have an appointment next week but wanted to get an idea of what to expect and what options are worth the money.

Is it possible to know what the must-have options are yet since effectively no cars have been delivered ?

Must-have = for resale or for dealer profit or for owner satisfaction ?

As an owner of a California 30, having driven a 488 and a Roma - certainly the Roma is more daily-friendly, but the F8 is what I would buy between the two. What makes a Ferrari special is the emotional experience of driving. I found the Roma lacking in a way that I'm certain the F8 isn't. Even just the physical Start button versus the Touchscreen/Capacitive button is a big reason for me. If I could have rubbed a few more pennies together I would have bought a 458. I love my California though, and the NA V8 is magical. You'll be happy either way.

Combination of resale and usage, I would say following items:

Apple CarPlay and Premium sound because its a daily. Also surround view.

Shields for resale, though I don't think the launch cars have them. For a first time Ferrari owner, probably best to pay the $1,800 for shields.

For resale, the carbon steering wheel is a must.

No carbon needed on this car because it is an extremely elegant design on its own and doesn't need carbon. Also carbon is an unnecessary expense for a first time Ferrari buyer.

Thanks this is helpful. When I was looking at the F8 everyone on here said I need as much carbon as possible so that’s a relief as it’s a hefty premium for something I’m not particularly fond of.

I was definitely gong to get the shields.

I heard you can spec the LED wheel with leather instead of carbon. Would that be considered odd if I ever was to sell it?

How much better is the “premium” sound system? On the Huracan it was a choice between awful and mediocre.

Having used mine as a daily for a while now I would say must have for daily use

Surround Camera System actually works really well great resolution and not ridiculously over sensitive.

Back radar system with blind spot warning which also requires electrochromatic mirrors just makes life easier for lane changes etc.

CF steering wheel CF paddles just looks and feels better to me and the added drama of leds ups the pleasure in higher revs and sought after in resale.

Fender Shields I still think in the US is a good option for resale will see about this over time

I don’t spend a large amount of time in the car as my work commute is quite short so Apple Car Play isn’t a must in my book and the way it is displayed is odd also I find the standard sound system to be quite good, admittedly I am not an audiophile, but given the small cabin the sound feels the cabin easily and I have no regrets.

THE PERUIM SOUND IS A WASTE AS YOU WANT TO HEAR THE ROAR OF THE ENGINE NOT TOP 40 MUSIC.
I WOULD SAY A MUST IS HOME LINK, SHIELDS, THE LED WHEEL IS NICE BUT YOU CAN PUT A LINIER TACH ON THE SCREEN BEHIND THE WHEEL.

Don't pass up the official Ferrari golf bag. For the Portofino it was only $ 11,000 in 2018.

    What 355 Giallo GTB says

Grigio Titanio, Iroko interior and colored stiching on seats. Can you get the carbon racing seats? I know they don't have heat and as many adjustments, but they are just cool. And there would be very few cars with that option.

We went Rosso venaccia and to say it turns heads where ever I go is an understatement. Besides the obvious items you option such as stitching and paint, the option i have come to really appreciate is the magnetic ride option on the suspension setting. From a resale/trade perspective, I believe the carbon wheel and passenger display are must haves. We went with the partial ADAS because of the twisty roads we live on.

Agree forgot the Magnetic ride adjustment (bumpy road mode). I think it is very helpful on my streets when in Sport mode

Honestly, I don't think there are too many must have options for the Roma. If anything, I would say carbon steering wheel, back radar, and maybe hi-fi sound.

I did carbon steering wheel, hi-fi sound, back radar, shields, passenger screen, fold down rear seats, sport exhaust tips, yellow calipers, magneride, aluminum footrests, matte grigio standard wheels, michelin tires, electrochromic rear mirrors, and no carbon bits.

Bianco avus exterior, black interior, with blue medio lowers, grigio chiaro stitching and horse on headrest, and yellow belts.

Keep in mind, resale was not part of the thinking process in my build. Good luck on your journey!

Lots of different answers here, as I first time buyer I struggled with the same question.

For me, went with shields, magneride, and carbon fiber steering wheel with LEDs.

I hate the little black box in the front, so skipped full ADAS package. But the blind spot detection and surround view are definitely worth getting - must haves for me and takes some anxiety away from parking.

I lose the automatic cruise control with skipping full ADAS - but this isn’t a cruise control car for me..

Passenger display looks cool, but expensive and useless for the driver - I skipped it. Your passenger probably won’t care either way.

Exterior carbon looks fantastic, but so expensive. Car doesn’t really need it…but does look great if you want to spend more money on it.

I skipped apple car play - nice to have, but not really necessary with Bluetooth. Might be worth it if it’s a daily driver, but otherwise an expensive option.

I debated getting magneride, and ended up getting it. Probably good for resale, not sure how necessary it is; I rarely use it, but likely good for resale.

I did splurge for high end audio and diamond cut rims - personal choices, not essential.

Shields are a personal choice - depends on your spec, probably good for resale. But go with what you like.

    You’ll love it- amazing car.

Grigio Alloy is a great color. I just got my Roma and it is Grigio Alloy. I also had a 2012 Cali in the same color.

Admittedly on a Porto, but I am glad I got the full ADAS package and magneride. Also got diamond wheels, red calipers (with hindsight, should have been yellow) and no shields or carbon but that is personal. Bluetooth works fine so do not miss Apple Play. Standard sound system is fine for news and a bit of music on long distances. Should have got a bit more coloured piping like Blu308qv. Colour is Azzurro California, which I still love and gets a lot of compliments. Car used as my DD.
