    Radenso just released the DS1 radar detector a few months ago. They claimed record breaking range that puts everything else on the market to shame.

    Just got mine a few days ago and wanted to report that they weren’t kidding. It literally starts pinging KA band police radar straightline distance something on the order in what I’ve experienced as 2-3 miles before even hitting a speed trap. Even driving in the mountains the other day, it detected police radar more than a mile and at least 10+ sharp bends before even reaching the cop.

    This detector is unbelievable, I can’t possibly recommend it enough. It is the new standard in radar detector technology and I just wanted to share this with my fellow Ferraristi.

    Bought the hard wire kit and will get that installed in the 458 in the next week or so.

    How is the BSM filter and false alerts? Does it work against Mazda? Also does it pick up all the Mazdas on the road from a mile away as well?

    Im still waiting for there Theia. I thought the Pro-M was a better detector then the DS1? Have you ever tried there PRO-M? I have Redline's in both of my cars and they work pretty good but I dont think the range is all that great to be honest

    I had a Radenso Pro-M and upgraded to the DS1 when it came out. The DS1 is much better than the Pro-M.

    The DS1 is noticeably longer than the Pro-M and I always get Ka band alerts MINUTES before the soeedtrap and not seconds. It’s unbelievable.

    The Pro-M had some of the best filtering and the DS1 filters even better. I haven’t noticed any false alerts near Mazdas.

    Frankly, no cops use K band radar so there is an option to turn K band alerts OFF and then you get no false alerts ever again and any alerts you do get, KA band, you know are real.

    Brother… I’m sure speeding is illegal wherever you live as well. What’s a bigger offense, speeding or having a radar detector? I’ll take an unlikely small fine anyway for having a detector over arbitrary reckless driving charges in Virginia where you can be slapped with reckless for going just 10mph over the speed limit on I-95.

    Also the DS1 doesn’t emit any signals and is immune to detection from radar detector detectors that police in Virginia use, which is another reason I bought it.

    That is awesome. In 1992 I was driving near Richmond--not speeding--and the cop walks up and says "license, registration and radar detector."

    I thought the same thing but actually saw a cop use k band last year in the middle of nowhere Tennessee. Go figure !

    The problem with Redenso is it has no directional arrows. After having the Valentine with arrows, I can’t live without them. I have a Redenso I rarely use because when it alerts I have no idea which direction to look. I guess you can just slam the brakes though.

    I think the arrows are misleading. If you’re pinging Ka police band radar then you should be slowing no matter what! I used to have a Valentine and don’t miss the arrows at all.

    If the radenso pings Ka band, then just slow down until it’s gone.

    Do you guys follow this guy on youtube? Vortex Radar? I am currently looking at AntiLaser Priority for laser. Still looking for a main head unit to be installed.

    Its a way bigger fine if you are caught with a radar detector. A$1800 plus 9 demerit points off your license (out of a total of 12). plus the detector is confiscated. If the immunity against detector detectors was 100% then people may consider it, but from what I have read the immunity is not foolproof, I understand even the radenso ds1 can be detected at a range of 5-35m. Happy for someone to confirm otherwise though!

    I just picked up a DS1, anyone pairing it up with a laser deflector? I am thinking AL priority system.

    I’d love to pair my DS1 with an ALP laser jammer but the laser jammers just require so much work and labor to install. If there was a plug and play way to do the jammers I’d do it.
